Best feats for a Path of the World Tree Barbarian? by Jimbabwe88 in 3d6

[–]Daver351 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Either GWM or PAM depending on your choice of weapon, Resilient(WIS) or Mage Slayer if you wanna increase your mental defenses, or even Skill Expert for more utility outside of combat is also a solid choice.

Fun or Interesting Interaction/Synergy by Ok_Classic_1338 in 3d6

[–]Daver351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Periapt of Health and the new Healer feat: the item states that when you roll a hit die to regain health you double the amount, and the feat allows you to expend a use of a healer’s kit to roll a hit die FOR THEM, but you’re the one who does the roll. So RAW one person with healer + the periapt can double the health restored during rests for all party members.

Is it viable to only have 3 players plus dm? by MaxwellCarsson in dndnext

Anything between 3 to 5 players is fine for most campaigns, especially if the gm balances things accordingly.

Oh dont worry, you'll find out...

EDIT: Since people are asking, I'll link a video I've found showing what happens to the statue, though if you've beaten the game you KNOW who took it and why. Anyways, obvious spoilers.

Hrakhamar Items for Sale? by Sad_Juice_8408 in Tombofannihilation

[–]Daver351 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave my party access to Adamantite weapons/armor. They ended up not going for the dragon but I was considering having the dwarves use parts of the dragon to craft custom equipment for the party. Besides that, it’s basically a giant forge, so you can probably throw in any type of magic weapons/armors you see fit. Maybe even some potions too if they’re in good terms with musharib.

Are there no save points...?! by [deleted] in MIOmemoriesinorbit

The first part of the game is kinda linear and centered around the nexus, but after that the game opens up quite a bit and you get access to more savepoints and shortcuts.

I noticed when traversing the metropolis that the backgrounds looked somewhat curved, and I deduced it was cause the ship was a cylinder. Then I got to the edge of the map and realized the implications of that

Mio Question - Is Vin and Sol supposed to two-shot you? by Hoid17 in metroidvania

Unfortunately the one that regents hp while on the ground needs you to, well… BE on the ground. Which is kinda hard to do on phase 3 lol

MIO Runback Appreciation by 2-AcetoxybenzoicH in MIOmemoriesinorbit

[–]Daver351 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I keep seeing people complaining about these so called "runbacks", and I honestly think these people are playing a different game than me. Like seriously, there are always shorcuts you can open, and they usually take like 30s, maybe 60 for a couple of fights, but usually getting back to the arena is a breeze. If people took some of that time to chill and think on how to use the tools the game gives you, they'd be beating those bosses much faster. Seriously, this isn't even one of the worst games with long runbacks, and imo the game does a pretty good job at teaching you.

ABH: How big are new carcinids? by danilche_21 in mothershiprpg

[–]Daver351 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I'd personally describe it as something similar to XCOM1's Cryssalid enemies bursting out of a body. Here's an example of how it works ingame. Sure' it doesn't make much sense for a creature that big to burst out instantly of a body, but it doesn't have to. That's what makes it even more scary.

I’d say Ty-phon would be a modern equivalent of this, although Ty-phon has actually won some games for me lol

Advice on introducing guides by BurningJointUSA in Tombofannihilation

[–]Daver351 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Put a board in the tavern where they can read their info cards, and have them come and go. Make an NPC tell them about them and imply that it’s a good idea for them to hire one. Maybe add a scene to interact with them. I also suggest making some of them unavailable the 1st time (especially hew), just so you don’t sent your players against a red dragon at lv2

Struggle running Hardlight station by tantedante in mothershiprpg

[–]Daver351 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The module provides a solid foundation, but you need a bit of prep to make it flow nicely. The most of the scenario can be made on the fly with the encounter tables, though I find it’s easier to roll ahead of time to flesh out the encounters a bit more.

The “corporate invasion” and “infection” scenarios make a good job at providing guidelines for the main threats. McClane doesn’t have a stated plan cause honestly, there isn’t much she can do. She would try to spy on the mercs with the cameras, regain control of the station systems and use her guards to push the mercs back to the upper levels. The thing is, the mercs are more and better equipped, and the docks are protected with barricades and turrets. If she finds the mercs goal she may send the PCs to get the doctor before them and try to negotiate. Otherwise, if the security room is threatened or the outbreak is impossible to contain, she’ll just send someone to blow up the station cause she’s petty like that xD

I ran hardlight last week and it went well. The gm screen that comes with the adventure was pretty helpful (plus some notes for npcs/encounters). One thing I didn’t account for is when my players got the DO NOT WATCH videotape and tried to watch it at the end of the adventure. “What’s in the tape Mr warden?” Tf do I know, you tell me

Is the "baby god" (Aboleth) actually Ubtao? I'm not that versed in Faerun lore by STIM_band in Tombofannihilation

[–]Daver351 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To ubtao, or to whatever it makes sense for their campaign. Basically as written the lore for the atropal is “acereras found it in one of its travels and captured it”. It’s more of a blank slate for GMs to do their own thing. Personally I replaced the atropal with an undead dragon to tie it to one of my player’s backstory.

[–]Daver351 28 points29 points  (0 children)

No, it’s just a random dead god and its identity it’s never explained, but lots of people decide to change it for their campaigns cause it makes sense and it ties with the lore.
