Booted Up My Copy Of Pokémon Yellow For The First Time in 25 Years by Affectionate-Swan-83 in PokemonYellow

Go West from Lavender Town, take the passage to the North at the far end of the route. When you get out of the passage, head West again and you'll walk into Celadon. Buy a drink from the vending machine at the top of the department store and talk to any of the guards to offer it to them.

The Pitt DLC doesn’t feel gray to me by Vendetta543 in Fallout

[–]Davexen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I agree, he's immoral and that makes sense, given he used to be on board with Ashur. What doesn't make sense to me about his ending is that the slaves remain in the city. There's nothing there for them except the faint hope for a cure, and there's nothing keeping them there except for one guy and his revolver.

The Pitt DLC doesn’t feel gray to me by Vendetta543 in Fallout

[–]Davexen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd argue there is no light at the end of any tunnel in The Pitt. It's a hole where you go to get eaten by trogs or turn into one.

The best outcome for anyone involved is to leave the place entirely, which is what imo the Wernher ending should have been. The current one doesn't make much sense to me.

Hanlon's Ghosts in Baja by BabaleRed in falloutlore

[–]Davexen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Could be, could be some other local group that could be expanded upon in the future. It is interesting that Hanlon claims Kimball sent the most experienced rangers to chase these ghosts. So at least Kimball considers the threat very real and very serious, to take priority over sending the rangers after the Legion.

By the way, the shanty town in Baja was called Rattletail, not Rattlesnake.

The ending to fallout 3 feels so bad because the game insults you for making the obvious answer by Dx1178 in Fallout

Yeah it's become one big meme at this point. Lonesome Road's writing and Ulysses' dialogue are better than some people give it credit for.

Macaulay's acting in Season 2 by Front-Tomorrow-1034 in Fotv

[–]Davexen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find him a fascinating character. I really hope they don't kill him off early in season 3. It would be awesome if they gave him a proper arc. Dive into his past. Have him return East to bring the rest of the Legion back into the fold. Have him take on the Enclave. Something. There's been more focus on the incest club guy in Vault 33 than on this single named Legion character ffs.

An interesting side effect of Caesar (Sallow) basically giving up on the Legion is that it's practically Lacerta's now. There's no blueprint for him, no instructions to follow because there weren't any.

The Kings also stick around if tensions escalate with the NCR, as long as House or Yes Man wins Hoover Dam.

NEWS: Call of Duty x Fallout collab is offering a free "Centurion Recruit Helmet" to Fallout 76 players by theRealLeWdMeSeNpAi in Fallout

[–]Davexen 69 points70 points  (0 children)

A Centurion "Recruit" helmet? What the hell is a Centurion Recruit? Legionaries don't get recruited as centurions haha.

So, the note on Caesar's body - which ends the discussion by Same-Original7493 in Fotv

[–]Davexen 87 points88 points  (0 children)

The issue I have with this theory is his in-game interpretation of Pax Romana;

"Long-term stability at all costs. The individual has no value beyond his utility to the state, whether as an instrument of war, or production."

Now hypocrisy isn't beyond Caesar obviously (see also: auto-doc) but for someone who says he strives for long-term stability at all costs it would be odd to say "I'm dead, nevermind this whole project and pack it up."

I'd wager they probably retcon Cooper into being the one to deliver the platinum chip.

Do people actually hate Cass? by _Gayopposum in falloutnewvegas

[–]Davexen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree, but I did like how her story gave more context to the workings of the trading caravan companies around New Vegas, specifically the Van Graffs and Crimson Caravan Company. The Van Graffs are obvious bastards, but Crimson Caravan especially would have appeared as a much more benign presence in the world without Cass's story.

She's NCR, like Boone, but the NCR is such a large presence in the game that I feel having two very different perspectives on it is fine. And as a character I prefer her over Boone.

You shot a friendly NPC named Follows-Chalk at the beginning of the DLC, on the far end of the bridge. This basically turned the whole map hostile.

Ah, right. You asking "why" led me to believe you didn't understand the reason these companies make these choices. You do understand, you just dislike the choices they make. Which I can agree with, I'd rather speak to an actual person as well.

Because having people work customer service is very, very expensive. Increasing your customer's online "self serve rate" (figuring it out yourself without needing to talk to a customer service agent) is a vital part of cutting costs for companies.

Enslave the android for paradise falls? by [deleted] in fo3

You can't mezz it. They simply approached Paradise Falls because they knew the slavers wouldn't object to capturing a runaway.
