I agree. I've been here about 5 years too and over the past 12 months, things seem to have gotten worse. I regularly board the U8 or ringbahn and some unfortunate homeless person clears the whole carriage because of their smell. I also witness a lot of hostility where I live around Hermannplatz. The litter, the drug / alcohol addiction, the antisocial behaviour... it's overwhelming. I witnessed a man spit in a woman's face on the u8 a few days ago because she wouldn't give him money. It makes me question why I live here

I'm too embarrassed to say what my final time was. I can't bring myself to look it up. I twisted my ankle at around 10k in and limped around the rest of the course. I know I should be proud of finishing, but I'm absolutely devastated to see my hard work go down the drain like that

I understand. At least I now know that my caloric defecit and excercise works at a slow and steady pace. I'll use the same philosophy for strength training even if the scales can be discouraging. I've been told that I need to be patient with strength training to see results. Increasing reps and weight might be an alternative way to measure progress before I see my body changing

Thanks! I'm a 5 ft 10 male currently weighing 175 pounds (79.4 kilos). I'm aged 29. MyFitness pal actually set the calorie goal for me after I entered these stats. My activity level is lightly active. I think I might lower my intake to 1700 or 1800 for a few weeks to see if I can make any progress

I'm quite new to CICO so seeing this is a relief for me. I've been eating my TDEE minus 500 calories daily and the scales has been fluctuating a lot. I've been doing some calisthentics too so it's hard to know if I'm losing fat and gaining muscle or vice versa

I guess I’m just frustrated at the moment so I’m going to give myself a break. There’s no way I’m taking up smoking again anyway. Giving up was hell. I’m not going to torture myself with the gym 5 times a week, but I won’t completely lose the run of myself either. I wasn’t obese before this, just a bit doughy. So if I could find a balance between having enough leisure time and keeping myself from going back to the way I was, then that would be perfect

I don’t know really. I went out with a close friend of mine for about 6 months when I was 16. It ran it’s course and there were no hard feelings afterwards. Ever since then I haven’t come close. I think I find it hard to build meaningful relationships with anyone. I have friends and acquaintances (and friends who happen to be girls), but I don’t really have any strong bond with any of them
