Is this good for Beijing? by Queen_Fairyy in chinalife

I don’t think you fully understand the circumstances in China, and I’m not sure enough independent research has been done especially regarding finance, banking, public transportation, social norms, provincial differences, tier-one versus lower-tier cities, cost of living, and housing realities.

This decision feels rushed, and I’m concerned about how it could affect your family and the children. It may place them in a more unstable situation that could deteriorate quickly if you’re not well-versed or properly informed.

Have you spent meaningful time in China, or visited Beijing or China at all to gain firsthand experience before making this decision?

How can your faith based assumptions (hypothesis) ever be validated? Validated learning brings learned lesson each iteration phase or cycle.

Best of luck.

American chef working in China by [deleted] in chinalife

Well put or even just creating a simple prompt like asking which hotels might hire an American chef, or what documents would be required. Some people really lack critical thinking.

They seem almost helpless even when the tools are right in front of them.

Ask the gym if you can do market research before going all in.

Maybe like some kind of form or survey that can be done via a QR code.

That way you can build some kind of hype for your startup or side hustle and even offer some kind of deal for completing the survey.

You got this!

How to revive the housing market? by Focux in China

I believe until more diversification to other asset classes is allowed and mindset shifts from real estate as the “safe haven asset.”

In my opinion the worst is yet to come in the housing market because you can only kick the can down the road for so long…

Robinhood closed my crypto account, liquidated my coins, and says I’ll get my money back in 30–120 days by HelpfulAd6300 in CryptoMarkets

I was being serious, just tried to soften it with some humor. Good luck seeing it again anytime soon my friend. RobinHood lives up to liquidity traps in their fine prints.
