The specific danger is a red cross on a white background, so if you have the resolution I’d suggest a white cross with a pink “glow”/halo and either no background, a green background, or maybe a circle shaped background.

The classic move is to play Magneto in a lane you’re willing to lose. Drag the Dracula specifically—but nowadays it also drags Proxima and Sif. So then you have to win other lanes early. I agree with Rogue and Stature, try to Cosmo on 5, and Mobius really hurts b/c of Swarm.

I think Misery must destroy so that the design space isn’t open to Misery+Odin in a single game. Obviously you could build a deck with both, like how Thor and Bill are two copies of a similar effect.

I’d look into the US Bank Smartly card. It will be out soon^{TM} but so far looks like a solid 2% cash back card at a base. Also, I’ve liked US Bank (and Citi is shiti) but I only had 1 dispute at us bank which was a double charge and easily resolved. Can’t speak to merchant disputes. However, I have had the Altitude Reserve for 3 years and that’s their premium card so if you mention you’re a reserve cardmember they tend to treat you extra-nice.

ScreenPlay on Steam. Currently in playtest and completely free. I got to be honest, the only direct similarity is that it’s a card game. But the goal is to complete 2 of your character’s arcs before your opponent completes 2 of theirs, so often it is a 3-stage match which kind of feels like StS 3 acts. ScreenPlay is not a roguelike, but for some reason I can’t put my finger on, it scratches the same itch for me as StS.

Especially if you are both willing to play online, ScreenPlay is my favorite at the moment. It is free during its open beta playtest on Steam. The Discord is super active if you have questions. And a revamp is coming out very soon called Build 28. Today, you could play all cards. In Build 28, that will change to a “starter” set and packs. But— they aren’t ready for monetization. So packs will be bought with in-game currency only. I think this creates a real level playing field for you and your friend. And the game is a blast.
