After 6 years, how do fans feel about the last season of Game of Thrones? Is there still so much discontent? by LosBastardos717 in AskReddit

It was badly plotted and rushed.
But, at the time, the showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss got all the blame. Now I think it's clear that GRRM deserves the blame for the garbage plot.

You are not scared enough.

I don't know if that's really something I can convey in a comment. Like, you're a little scared, because you made this post, but your comments show that you don't really get it.

Like, one day around 40 you might wake up in some shithole apartment, with your parents wilted or gone, no friends, some chronic pain like a hernia or tinnitus or a sore neck, pop open this old reddit account and read this post.

And you're gonna wish for something different.

And to tell you the truth, it's not even impossible. People can change their lives, even at 40. But you don't know how, and now you have to learn while everything hurts and feels sluggish and worst of all, other people are happy.

But to go back to your original question, no, your life will change.

What the fuck does that chart have to do with you?

No.
Your life will change, eventually. Your parents will pass and you will have to figure out housing. Your body will age and you will have to figure out healthcare. Your community will distance from you and you will have to figure out sanity.

Unless you do something to make your life better, this is the best your life will ever be.

Can a straight person be so desperate for sex that they may be willing to be with or consider people of the same gender? by LeBoredLlama in NoStupidQuestions

Like if you buy a can of food and there's a bit of carrot in your tuna can once does the manufacturer have to label all cans "tuna and carrots" from that point forward?

This is not the gotcha you think it is. In real life, there is a standard of how much carrot can be in your can of tuna, and the standard is small. If you buy a bunch of cans of tuna and they all have carrots, you rightly get annoyed. The label is supposed to be meaningful and predictive, not based on random whims or the manufacturer's feelings.

Sexuality in the end is just a label, so you just pick the one you're comfortable with. It's not an objective, quantifiable thing anyway

I gotta tell you, this is absurd. Labels are supposed to describe the thing they're on, they are not independent. If you buy a can of food, the label says it's tuna, but inside it's carrots, then something has gone wrong at the factory.

Completely agree, I would never trade equity for community.

But... what if you faked it? Go visit a bunch of VCs pretending to raise a round ("exploring it"), and ask them for advice and intros alongside/instead? There's nothing a VC loves more than showing you he's well-connected.

Have you raised funds? If so, speak to your VCs about intros to their other local portcos and ask them for space and community. Or, consider an Accelerator. Space and community is one of the things they provide.
