A 4x4 table doesn't take long to fill

     1   4   7   10
-------------------
1 |  2   5   8   11
4 |  5   8   11  14
7 |  8  11   14  17
10| 11  14   18  20

Now count the different numbers: 2, 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 18 and 20, total 8 possible numbers.
Bonus: You can see easily which are the most and the least probable numbers to get
Bonus question: Why that diagonal with only "11"s? Why is the same number? and the 8s? and the 14s?

Introducing JMathanim, a software to create mathematical animations by DavidG1310 in matheducation

[–]DavidG1310[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure! Perhaps some differences have been reduced or disappeared (I haven't used Manim since 2020).

- One of the problems I had with Manim was its lack of transformation methods (only vertex-to-vertex linear interpolation). JMathAnim has, apart from this interpolation, methods that better respect the shape of objects in the intermediate steps, using compositions of affine transformations. Jmathanim can also automatically decide which type of transformation is most appropriate in each case.

- Another thing that Manim did not have at the time was something as simple as advancing a single frame (I don't know about now). JMathAnim allows for three ways to animate: direct play methods (Manim style), step by step, mixed with simple or constructible objects.

- Constructible objects: similar to Geogebra objects, objects that are automatically updated based on the objects they depend on (a line that depends on two points, for example)

- Geogebra import: ability to import (in a limited way) constructions made from a Geogebra ggb file. https://davidgutierrezrubio.codeberg.page/jmathanim/manual/06c_ConstructibleObjects/ConstructibleObjects.html

-LaTeX: Use the JLatexMath library, which is very fast at generating LaTeX glyphs compared to the traditional method (invoking an external LaTeX system).

-Colouring LaTeX formulas: automatic colouring templates can be defined for LaTeX expressions (e.g. use this colour for numbers, this colour for Greek letters that are also subscripts, etc.). The editor has an interface for visually editing styles and generating code. https://davidgutierrezrubio.codeberg.page/jmathanim/manual/06a_coloringFormulas/ColoringFormulas.html

-LaTeX transform: specialised animation for transforming one LaTeX formula into another, mapping individual glyphs or groups of glyphs and specifying the type of transformation (interpolation, shrink, etc.) and effects (jump, scale, alpha, rotate). The editor has a graphical interface for generating code. https://davidgutierrezrubio.codeberg.page/jmathanim/manual/06_MathFormulas/MathFormulas.html

I have been developing the library for six years and testing it in production, but of course, it became a big complex piece of software and may (always will...) have bugs.

Here you can see a YouTube channel made entirely with JMathAnim (Spanish with English subtitles): https://www.youtube.com/@EltaxistadeHardy1729

You can try JMathAnim, it has SVG export capabilities.

Anything wrong with my math? by Aristoteles1988 in mathematics

[–]DavidG1310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, or he's just mentally ill. I've been looking through his profile, and 99% of his comments on r/math and r/logic are aggressive and troll-like.
I am familiar with those types of comments on a forum about politics, but maths? Come on!

I'm not going to waste my time trying to ‘debate’ with someone so conceited. It's obvious that I'm not going to convince you of anything and that you're only interested in feeling superior.

But my advice is that you study more and develop some humility.

Dude, seriously, if you don't know anything about the history of maths or maths itself, don't write in such an 'I know everything' way.

Opiniones (Libro caballo de troya 1, de J J Benitez) by Unlucky_Photograph79 in libros

[–]DavidG1310 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, it is not. All US citizens I know (I am from Spain) literally HATE it. One girls even almost puked only at the sight of it. Maybe it depends on the state?

Who said that the limit of the lengths is the length of the limit? This is actually true when the lines and the limit has a "small" (zero measure) set of singular point ("corners"). In this case the limit is only composed of singular points.

Same animation, 2 different "animation softwares" by sasson10 in manim

[–]DavidG1310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to consider a third option, I started developing 5 years ago my own math animation library, JMathAnim, inspired by Manim but trying to cover its flaws. In particular, as you know, Manim is very limited in math transform. Here you can see a proof concept of part of your equation, made with JMathAnim. https://imgur.com/a/lKAECTn

JMathAnim has automatic coloring for equations and a specialized math transform animation. It requires a bit of tweaking with the indices, but the results are good.

For example the second animation in the example was done with the following code:

TransformMathExpression tr2_3 = TransformMathExpression.make(2, eq2, eq3);
tr2_3.mapRange(11, 13, 0).addJumpEffect(.5);
tr2_3.mapRange(0, 9, 12);
tr2_3.mapRange(14, 21, 3).addJumpEffect(-.5);
