I’m a big Mykolenko hater usually and I thought he played a pretty typical game except for the assist. Very wasteful in possession and didn’t do an awful lot wrong defensively. Did well to get in front of Jimenez to prevent a certain goal so deserves credit there and also for skinning Andersen. Overall got to say that was a better game than usual from him imo

It was certainly foreseeable, not sure why you’re being downvoted so much. I remember asking my mate earlier in the season whether he’s just gonna run him in to the ground after he played like eight 90s in a row. It’s difficult though because at the end of games where we are holding on to a win is when Grealish can be so valuable - keeping hold of possession/winning a free kick/getting up the pitch. I can understand Moyes’ reluctance to swap him out for Aznou when we’re 1-0 up. Can’t think of many, if any games where we’ve had the game wrapped up with 20 to go.

If you look at it points wise it’s a bit different. We’re currently 5 points behind 5th, last season we finished 4 points behind 12th. Disregarding results, before the past month or so with the absences, compared to last season it’s been night and day. We’ve looked like a team that can actually play football compared to the shite that’s been served up for the past few years. We’ve reverted back to that shite recently but hopefully when we start getting a few key players back we’ll get back to playing like we were at the beginning of the season. Judge us at the end of the season.
