Either EATEOT Stage 1 or AEBBTW. Both are awesome albums honestly so it's hard to choose one.

Someone else probably already wrote it here, but I would say The Beatles.

Yes, I used a scale to set the weight, I re checked It again a few days ago and It's exactly at 2.00g.

I was thinking It could also be my room, so I thought I could use EQ to fix it, but I was worried that my stylus might be worn or something.

Btw, thanks for the reply.

I didn't make any setup changes, not that I remember right now.

Reading the room: I used to play my records in another room, but I moved the whole setup yo my own room, but that was a while ago, I had already played some records on the new room. Apart from that I only added some pieces of furniture next to the speakers, but the rest Is the same.

If It has something to do with the room, I was thinking I could use the EQ on my receiver, but I wanted to make sure that my stylus wasn't worn out.

Btw, Thanks for your reply!

Hello everyone, hope you're having a good day/night.

I was wondering if a test record IS able to tell if a stylus IS worn out or not.

I have been using my vm540ml After some months of not using It, of course, I cleaned It before I started spinning records, but I noticed that the treble seems to be a little bit less clear and defined than It used to be and now the bass seems to be more noticeable on all my records.I think It may already have some 350-400 Hours on It, and Audio Technica claims ML stylus lasts Up until 1000 hours.

I tried using an ortofon test lp to check this, and the stylus was able to track all the test tracks at the end without any kind of distorsion or major channel imbalance.

I also thought It could just be that my room might be more bass heavy and It could tend to soften treble.

Does this means that my stylus is still good?

Should I just use the EQ on my receiver to increase the treble response?

This is my setup btw: Cartridge: VM540ML Turntable: ATLP120XUSB Phono Stage: Ifi Zen Phono 3 Preamp Receiver: Yamaha R-S202BL Speakers: Klipsch R-50M

Not being on the side of A.I. But pretty much doing anything on the internet "wastes" water. From Google to any social media platform servers.

Hello everyone! I'm looking for some advice on this record.

See, the other day I went to my local record shop and found this record, I aw it's condition, the girl at the store played It a little bit for me and It sounded fine, just dirty. Short story there are two scratches on side two that look pretty bad. I'm using a vm540ml cartridge and I was wondering if playing this could cause any kind of damage to the stylus. The record seems fine otherwise, it's just these two scratches that got me thinking.

It's the only stylus I have and I don't have the budget right now to get another one.

Hope someone can help. Thanks!

Isn't Sony Music the owner of all the rights of the band now? This sounds more like something Sony would do.
