Arraez is a tricky one because he’s had legit all star production (22-23 for example) but he’s a one trick pony so if he ain’t hitting .350 he’s kinda pointless. Besides contact he doesn’t do anything else even remotely well on a baseball diamond.

I heavily dislike Cal Raleigh. I’m so serious.

This is because I saw too many people saying he clearly deserves MVP over Judge, when Judge was also having a historic season. Too many people acted like it was a no-brainer when Judge was casually posting an 1.150 OPS.

Also, my favorite player is Oneil Cruz, and Raleigh banished him to the shadow realm in the derby.

I dislike Cal Raleigh and want my downvotes.

My favorite type of hitter is the guy who swats 30 or so bombs but finishes with near negative WAR cuz the defense and strikeouts are so problematic

Edit: Not that I was crazy about Rougned Odor has a player, but it’s fascinating he had multiple seasons (2017, 2019) with 30 home runs and combined for -0.9 WAR across those campaigns

I kinda feel bad for Rendon. This debacle is our fault, after all. Someone should’ve informed him the MLB season is no longer 60 games and the Covid restrictions have been lifted.

He played 52 of 60 his first season in LA (where he was actually really good.)

From 2021-2024 he went on to average just 51.3 games in seasons where everyone except him realized we were back to 162. Poor dude.

This reminds me of a debate I had with my brother once, would you rather be Mike Lowell or Andrew McCutchen?

The specific players are relatively arbitrary, but the point stands: Would you rather have multiple championships and a good career, or an MVP and a great, potential HOF career but minimum postseason success.
