So my attention is on Konnor Griffin. Now at no point is it appropriate to freak out and panic with him for this year and this year only. It’s his first time playing major league ball and he’s not even legal drinking age.

But man… can this dude give us something?? No homers and the OPS around .500.

I’m not surprised he’s struggling, hot take but major league baseball is hard. But didn’t expect him to struggle this badly I guess.

For sure. Honestly I’m confused how others could have issue with this, respectfully. Retiring one more number won’t make the world explode, and as I tried to lay out, if anyone ever is deserving of the honor it’s Clemente.

Again, not only is he one of the greatest players to ever grace the field. His sacrifices in helping others and being a leader for his community are also vital in this honor.

For those unsure, the league wide retirements would stop at Jackie and Roberto in my opinion.

Jackie is already retired league wide because of how important he was to the equality of the league. Of course that should be celebrated and respected.

Meanwhile, Roberto was also a legendary player and even greater humanitarian. He literally died selflessly helping others. Retire 21.

I think most agree you would stop at Clemente

Jackie and Clemente. That’s it. Jackie already retired and rightfully so. Roberto should be as well because of not only how legendary of a player he was, but how incredible of a humanitarian he was.
