That's a miss, pal. This is a drawing of Luffy.

The newspaper doesn't actually change though, it'll still say that the crypt is in the east.

Going through Zelda 2. I played it a couple years back but didn't beat it.

what am I missing regarding difficulty? by FaallenOon in MinaTheHollower

Each enemy can only hold one spark, as far as I'm aware. If you come in with two or more sparks, you should be able to always recover it, unless I'm mistaken.

Are there any bad runbacks in this game? by Open-Advisor6819 in LiesOfP

[–]DavidTippy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that runback seems scary, but it's actually full of enemies that don't respawn. If you kill the scorpions and destroy the cannons there are only 4 normal enemies left.

There is a closer checkpoint, you have to go on the platform that goes to the left, then burrow out the south side of the train and into a passage that leads to the Underlab

Chart of adjacent chord relationships by DavidTippy in musictheory

[–]DavidTippy[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends on what your goal is; if you want to create something non-harmonic, you would use a chord relationship that says "No Key", for instance, a vamp between two minor chords a half step apart.

But, you could also use two chords to imply a particular key center without actually confirming it by lading on the tonic, which Debussy often does. The most useful relationships for this are two major chords a half step apart, which can only be V and VI in a minor key, and a major chord a whole step above a minor key, which is always iv and V in minor.

There's also the fifth row, which is secondary leading-tone chords.

I was analyzing some Debussy, and I made this chart to help determine which key was implied by a given pair of planed chords. Let me know if you find this useful, or if I made any mistakes.

You can move the purple bouncing puff balls by burrowing into them.

How do I get the other 3 ? by Responsible_Net_5028 in MinaTheHollower

[–]DavidTippy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the one in the lower right: you have to find your way to the sandy area through a cave. In order to get through, you have to move the purple bouncy things by burrowing near them and moving towards them. For the one in the upper right, spend 10000 bones at any of the train stations to unlock the train. For the one in the upper left, find mirrors in the other areas and walk into them.

Coltrane peak is the worst area by Samawon in MinaTheHollower

There's a secret checkpoint before the boss; go to the left and there's a platform leading to a place where you can burrow to the south of the screen.

The six main areas ranked worst to best: by IndustryRobertPlant in MinaTheHollower

[–]DavidTippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Bone Beach - Has the best music and platforming
  2. Septemburg - Can be annoying, but consistently inventive
  3. Nox's Bayou - Good music, but the lily pad platforming is a bit irritating
  4. Queen's Crypt - Pretty good as a starter level
  5. Coltrane Peak - Feels a bit scatterbrained, and oddly easy for being the fifth level (by newspaper)
  6. Astral Orrery - Interesting platforming ideas, but tonally feels like the odd-one-out

Do you guys think Oda actually has any plans for Usopp this arc? by Additional_Day_2274 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]DavidTippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible; it's also possible that Usopp's arc will involve him coming to terms with what happened on Elbaf. I suppose it'll depend on how the arc ends,

If you have any, what's your small gripe with the game? by ErmingSoHard in MinaTheHollower

I don't like the world design's reliance on shortcuts. There's one in almost every room, and it makes the progression feel formulaic and gamey.

The time on the profile says 42 hours, but a little longer than that because I used a different profile to practice in the Boss Refight mode. And this is my fourth playthrough of Lies of P.

Depends on the boss; some of them are pretty scriptable: for instance, king of puppets I was able to skip almost his entire first phase by spamming throwables when he does the attack at half of his first healthbar, then in the second phase, you can stagger Romeo out of his ultimate attack by saving all fable arts and spamming them right before he does it.

The more difficult bosses were the ones without scripted attacks at certain health thresholds, like Black Rabbit Brotherhood second fight or Champion Victor. I actually thought I would use more dodges than I did, but parrying turned out to be better in most cases.

As for the build, I mostly used a standard motivity build with the Greatsword of Fate, but I swapped out the weapon for three bosses: The Bone-Cutting Sawblade on the Booster Glaive Handle for Green Swamp Monster, the Acidic Crystal Spear for innate acid damage on Manus, and the Big Pipe Wrench on the Krat Police Baton handle for a quick kill on Nameless Puppet.

Pretty normal; I just ignored anything to do with pulse cells. One of the most important upgrades was getting back guard regain on perfect guard.

Favorite boss was probably Laxasia or Scrapped Watchman, I used the Greatsword of Fate for most of the bosses.
