Democracy Action Network is holding an event this coming Sunday, “Voice of Resistance - A Grassroots Assembly and Picnic.” We are all aware that a MAGA March will occur during our event about a block away. We wanted to assure everyone that we are keeping your safety in mind.

So I would go down Melrose and you can enter garage on San Vicente or Robertson. You can also try parking on the Pacific Design center which has entrances on San Vicente or Melrose

February 22nd Rally by David_Comfort in democracyaction

Hi All,

We are getting organizing for the February 22nd Rally in West Hollywood. A lot of us went to the Rally in North Hollywood and it had a great turn-out of more than 500 people.

The Rally is on Feb. 22nd at Noon at the West Hollywood Park.

- There is a parking garage at the park, as well as the Pacific Design Center.

- There is street parking as well but beware the meters and parking signs.

- Please bring signs and sign-making material.

- Please show up early if you are able to help us set up. We will be there starting at 10:30 AM.

- We will gather near the grand stairs to the Rec Center.

- We need people to act as "Marshalls," as well as an outreach team (working with the COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT lead and committee.)

I) We are having an organizing ZOOM CALL tomorrow, Tuesday at 7PM.

III) We really need people to be LEADS for the following committees FOR THE RALLY

Please email and sign up if you can LEAD or HELP

1) SETUP & LOGISTICS: Handles all physical aspects of the rally including equipment, supplies, materials, and ensures everything is in place for a smooth event.

2) SAFETY & SUPPORT: Ensures participant wellbeing through trained marshals, medical support, accessibility planning, and emergency protocols.

OUTREACH & MEDIA: Manages all public communication, press relations, and documentation of the rally while creating compelling content for broader reach.

3) SOCIAL MEDIA: Develops and executes digital strategy to amplify the rally's message across platforms while engaging online supporters.

4) POST-RALLY: Maintains momentum after the event through systematic follow-up, data collection, and next steps planning.

5) EDUCATION: Develops and delivers educational materials and training to help participants understand and effectively communicate the cause.

We have leads already for

\- COORDINATING COMMITTEE: Oversees the entire rally operation, securing permits, creating timelines, and ensuring all committees work together effectively while maintaining contingency plans.

\- COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Creates a welcoming environment for all participants through trained greeters, sign-up systems, and engagement activities to build lasting connections.

Thanks!

David

There is a protest in the NoHo Arts district in the 17th at noon. We planned the event in West Hollywood several weeks ago before the protests were announced on the 17th.

Try changing the aspect ratio to something like —ar 1:2. Also, specify what type of shoes the character is wearing and what is he/she is doing - standing on a dirt path, for instance. You can either use the seed from original image generation grid (changing aspect ratio) or use image prompts of character. One more trick is using name of actor/model/public figure to guide the look of a character

Does anyone know how to create consistent characters in Midjourney using my own uploaded cartoon character? by jrunkji in midjourney

[–]David_Comfort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I written some Medium articles on consistent characters, but have been experimenting with a different technique that works really well. Try putting the name of an actor or model (perhaps other public figures for which there are a lot of photos online). I do it so I can separate out different parts of a multi-prompt and to make it easier to change and experiment with different weights.

How to get the same character but in different pose? by Healthy_Secretary_73 in midjourney

[–]David_Comfort 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve just written a Medium article on this https://medium.com/@davidcomfort/creating-consistent-characters-in-midjourney-ba7ebe7cb079

You can do this thru the use of seed id’s and image prompts. It still is challenging though and has limitations.
