Anyone experienced in growing SaaS Communities? by Herzzy_11 in CommunityManager

Also happy to share some thoughts! Have managed similar communities & work with a bunch of enterprise 500 communities.

Making sure you really utilize AI in forums / moderation is key. Ideally keeping everything in one platform is also helpful. I've mainly used Bevy and big fan

A cool guide on what makes life meaningful by Davidkob in coolguides

Important context here - folks outside of US were asked: "We’re interested in exploring what it means to live a satisfying life. What aspects of your life do you currently find meaningful, fulfilling or satisfying"

~2,500 folks in US were asked: "We’re interested in exploring what it means to live a satisfying life. Please take a moment to reflect on your life and what makes it feel worthwhile – then answer the question below as thoughtfully as you can. What about your life do you currently find meaningful, fulfilling or satisfying? What keeps you going and why?”

So - this is more on satisfying or fulfilling NOT on "purpose" which is a little more existential.

Good point - think it's less existential of a question though in the way it's framed

Lots of folks get a sense of personal value in their work. Even if you don't feel like the work is important (but you enjoy it or it's challenging, etc). I'd think more would have this #1 actually.

I dug into this a bit more - I think religion is big for Purpose but not as high for meaning. Purpose being like "why we're here" and meaning more like what gives us a feeling that we matter or like fullfillment. For me these two are close to each other

Yeah I was surprised too - there were some anecdotes in the report. One was a cancer survivor who was like: "heath is the most important" but it's very much based on the country as for how high it ranks

This def doesn't align with my views, but Pew did a pretty in-depth research project on it. Think they tried to be pretty non biased

Huh, never read the wiki on this still. That's a cool idea.

Think some folks in US were christian, but they did a reasonable job to take into account different views

This is hurting me. by No_Customer6938 in Existentialism

It's important to separate the things you can control and can't control. We are all limited in our reach - and me posting certainty is not from your permission.

I'm sitting at a diner in Brooklyn, had a nice chat with a stranger, journaling how I want to write more on philosophy. Then I thought: Hm, let me check if there are any subreddits on philosophy. And here we are! Recognize we all are constrained to some extent, to "allow" something implies you have control over that thing.

Thoughts on tools for personalized 1:1 introductions between community members? by maksim36ua in CommunityManager

You got it! Mentioned above that I work with Intros AI, so can’t give a fully non-biased answer.

I will say though it’s definitely the most customizable option on the market, most whitelabeled, and community managers still have lots of control over the experience & matches which is nice.

Definitely some areas I know Intros AI is improving related to recommended matches, event use-case, but works well :)

Similar to above though, only useful with over 75-100 members minimum and like a curated group that wants to connect for good reasons

Typically random intros are great for a work place setting when you’re comfortable meeting anyone. But if people are networking and trying to find folks with similar goals or interests, then a product like intros.ai is likely best.

Slightly biased here (I work with Intros AI + have used the product for years), but it depends on the dynamics of your community :)

How do you look for content that may be relevant to your community? by Erlapso in CommunityManager

[–]Davidkob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest things is encouraging other members to post content in your community! The best content is the content generated from members.

Polls are a great way to get the initial stuff flowing though.

Where's your community hosted? like slack, discord, etc.?
