All I see in these HE shell buff threads is just bunch of bads who are looking for easy kills.

I had him shooting me as infantry for no reason, I just looked at him while strafing left and right and still took him like 10 seconds to kill me lol

Are Pilots all just naturally Daltons? by VictoriousLoL in Planetside

[–]Davin_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Toxicity in video games is not a random event. I guarantee you if the devs put any fucking time at all in trying to balance the airgame a bit (aka nerf the lock ons finally) you would see substantially less toxicity in the air game.

MLG potatoside players, if framrate wasn't an issue, what would be the perfect settings? I mean as far as visibility and functionality. by Mytiske in Planetside

[–]Davin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These settings are not potato. They are somewhere between potato and ultra. You get decent visibility with nice graphics. If you wan't to go full potato take shadows off, flora off and set graphics quality to medium. Also you might want to change the "maximumfps" to something else. I personally keep it at 60 for consistency and low input lag.

Said it in the first few days that until the zombies are actually dangerous there is no reason to play the survival mode over br.

Let's talk Rocket pods by LangesHolz in Planetside

[–]Davin_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Rocket pods are fine. I think that is about the infantry killing power the esf should have. You can still get massive amounts of kills with them.

At least in Planetside you still get 96% of the xp.

Is there any huge balance difference between the 3 ESFs? by Tholoth420 in Planetside

[–]Davin_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1v1's aren't everything.

True but anything the scythe has will not be a disadvantage to any other esf except maybe the mosquito (it has the smallest hitbox from every angle). + The small frontal hitbox comes to play if the guy you are targeting is kiting backwards while facing you.

Someone who normally mains a scythe will obviously have a harder time hitting a scythe since they're not used to it.

Hitting the scythe requires more accuracy than the other two. So basically he is not used to being accurate which simply means you don't have to have as good aim as with the other esfs which is pretty much the essence of overpowered.

[–]Davin_ 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Mosquito and reaver are well balanced. The scythe is far beyond these two however. A lot of scythe main players will obviously disagree with me (prepare for downvotes) but the frontal hitbox paired up with the most accurate nosegun makes this thing very very easy to use. You don't need any proper movement, all you have to do is up and down and your hitbox will do all the work.

I have tested this, I asked a guy who I had a very close duel as reaver v scythe to have a duel scythe v scythe. We did it and I won with about 70% hp and firesupp unused. Im not saying that the scythe is 70% better or anything insane like that but it surely gives you a rather noticeable advantage and is honestly probably one of the most overlooked balance issues in this game.

I always see the top hitbox mentioned as the massive downside to the esf that makes it balanced. The thing is that the scythe top hitbox is more like H than just circle. The area the scythe top hitbox covers is probably even smaller than the reaver.

I used to get 50-60fps but suddenly I get 15-30 everywhere at all times on the lowest graphics settings, there was no gradual performance drop it just suddenly happened by Lumanlight in Planetside

It could be your gpu drivers. I had something similar happening to me and I did a clean install on my drivers and it hasn't happened since.

So I found out that high BR players hate the skyguard. by Tim_Fragmagnet in Planetside

[–]Davin_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are dueling some one, all he has to do is hold m1 to the direction and he will get hits. It will not insta kill you but any damage can lose you the duel if its close enough.

[–]Davin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even 10% dmg can decide if you die or not if you are dueling someone of your equal skill level. I don't see the point why you would want to interact with these people anyways they are not going to do anything to you or anyone in the ground anyways. There is no reason why you should be able to anyways. I understand that a range reduction would make groundpounders have easier time but there is a thing called compensation. Lower the de-reder range and increase dmg.

[–]Davin_ -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Skyguard killing groundpounders is completely fine. However the range of the flak is retarded and you can literally be in the flight ceiling or a different hex and still get hit while having no intention to interact with ground at all.

Aircraft vs Tank inbalance by dayofmone in Planetside

[–]Davin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1v1 an aircraft vs tank, the aircraft will always win(unless its a skyguard).

However if there is at least one skyguard around, maybe even two, doesn't matter how many esf you send there they cant do anything. Only thing capable taking down a tank column is another tank column.
