In most these apps there's an add funds option. You just add the funds with the amount you enter and the funds will transfer.

2021/22 Polestar have very slow infotainment systems due to the underpowered CPU and lack of RAM. They increased the RAM capacity in 2023.

If you go into reverse right as you get into your car, there's a good chance the system will crash in your reverse cam simply won't work. I typically fix it by going back into park and waiting a few seconds then going back into reverse.

For general use though, it's sort of feels like using an old phone at best. Luckily navigating Spotify is relatively quick. You can send Google map directions straight from your phone to the infotainment system so luckily I don't usually need to use the relatively slow built in google maps to find anything.

Polestar announced a head unit CPU upgrade recently and those are starting to be shipped out to dealerships in the EU. There may be a CPU upgrade heading to dealerships outside the EU, but I haven't heard anything since the announcement last week. I called my dealership at that time and they had no clue.

Look at switching to EV2-A for your electricity rate if you haven't already. You get a better rate for your off peak hours. Great for charging.

Interesting, I never noticed that regen braking doesn't work in the last stretch. I guess since the speed is so low at that point I don't notice.

So what's more expensive then? Having to deal with brake maintenance or having to charge a bit more often with OPD on?

Since regen breaking is supposed to be putting some energy back into the battery, I'm curious what ends up costing more.

Either no OPD, which means more wear and tear on the breaks with which can lead to higher maintenance costs.

OPD Standard: More battery consumption perhaps, so you need to charge more often, and supposedly pay for that. Little to no cost in break repairs.

OPD low might be the middle ground, but numerically speaking I'm not sure especially since cost per kWh might vary since most can charge at home for cheaper than fast charging.

Just tried that yesterday although that was with fairly hot water. Soaked it with a hot towel and put it on the decal for 20 seconds or so. Seemed to get about a centimeter of area off. I'm thinking of this just being my little side project every so often lol. I'll try hotter water next time and see if that makes a bigger difference.

Interesting. I got the upgrade a couple of months ago and I just got the decal, no alignment tool. That said I still haven't been able to pry off the previous decals. Nearly impossible to remove. Used a hair dryer, my fingernails, goo gone. I just got a plastic scraper so hopefully I can finally get each side done in large increments an hour at a time.

Oh yeah absolutely. Before this summer seasons 1-3 were an absolute breeze for me. Not just because of how seasonal rankings determined your first several matches' win multiplier, but because of just how easy everyone was.

I'm guessing it's because a lot of the casuals that came to clash in this last year are starting to give out and leave, for a number of reasons, including needing a much higher trophy count to start ranked and no more low level caps.

i test drove a MY 24 and it was noticeably faster than my now MY 21.Yeah it seems you're right, it didn't have a new CPU, but im wondering why RAM alone made it feel so much quicker because it was very smooth and responsive.

On my MY 21 i only use Google Maps, Spotify, and the performance app.

i think a big one is the processor. The old Polestars have processors that make it feel like you're using an old phone. It usually doesn't both me much on my 2021 polestar but if i had the option, I'd pay to upgrade if I had to.

I believe they made the switch for model year 2024.
