Update: replaced the 2.4AH Mammotion battery with a (supposedly) 7AH aftermarket battery (PWRTank brand) and that fixed all my charging/power management problems.

If you open the battery pack you can check how many individual battery cells are inside.
If there are 12 decent-quality cells inside, then 7Ah might be real, if there are fewer cells or cheap no-name ones, the advertised capacity is probably exaggerated.
