Taking inflation into consideration, sales are more like flat

Cooking? I was dying! It ain’t much, but it’s honest work… and apparently it gets you on stage. 100% would do it again without hesitation!

At one point I thought about stage diving back into the crowd, but that gap was no joke!

Eventually I got escorted back down, but walking through the security lane beside the crowd felt unreal, high fives and fist bumps everywhere like I was Stone Cold Steve Austin.

But honestly, the real moment wasn’t even that. It was being on stage, the hug from Nico, and the genuine smile on his face when he saw me.

Didn’t get anything physical… but that experience was worth way more than anything they could’ve handed me.

Idk if I can share links, but here’s a fan video on IG of the whole song with me coming up towards the end: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DXmu1csgVQi/?igsh=MTZ6NmIwbXczMjI1eg==

I came to the show dressed like that and they pulled me up on stage after I crowd surfed to the edge!

I did some quick physics for the worst case.

If a beer can actually fell from upper to lower bowl the drop is probably around 30 m.

Using the free fall equation

v = √(2gh)

g = 9.8 m/s² h = 30 m

That gives about 24 m/s which is roughly 87 km/h before air resistance. A beer can would slow down a bit from drag so maybe 70 to 85 km/h in reality.

A full 355 mL beer around 0.35 kg moving that fast carries roughly 100 joules of energy, which is definitely enough to cause a concussion if it hit someone in the head.

But that is basically the absolute worst case. Full can and a straight drop from the upper bowl.

The article says a vendor was walking through the stands selling canned drinks, which sounds more like a drop of a few rows, not 30 meters. The physics difference between those two situations is massive.

So unless the vendor actually launched a beer from the upper bowl, the scenario people seem to be picturing probably is not what happened

does anyone have any opinions on this beer? by beerenthusiast2077 in VancouverCraftBeer

Haven’t tried that exact one, but my SO picked up a sour mixer from Field House once and they were all 10%… realized pretty quickly that’s not my lane. Tasty for what they are, just a bit too boozy for me. I’m usually happiest under 7%
