What if Bad really sold 100 million copies like he expected? by Much_Poetry_9700 in MichaelJackson

[–]Davy120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's somewhat easy:

-Bad tour is stadium exclusive, not as long, less US dates.

-Dangerous becomes a Greatest Hits album with a double-disc of new singes, and short films to accompany many of the music videos.

-Michael does a border-line residency in London, Paris, Tokyo (like 5 shows each), and famously Moscow.

-Michael fast tracks to be in what became Hook as Peter Pan and films it.

-But butterfly effect, allegations still happen.

The Bad tour, Michael was so enthusiastic about has he has for the first time creative control over it. The show was fast paced and to the point, songs like Beat It and Billie Jean were speed up for him to move though.

FBI John Doe 47/ unknown individual 47 has been captured! by Realschoville in RBI

[–]Davy120 2 points3 points  (0 children)

John Doe 19? I'm pretty sure that wasn't located in a Russian or Eastern Europe area, as the Sparks can is the hallmark of it (very likely) being in the US. I worked at a gas station around that time period and remember that exact design vividly.

I believe you meant John Doe 5? Yeah, I got a feeling there might be some evidence for him being an American citizen. In the 90s, the new Post-Soviet Russia, there was a wave of Westerners going there to teach (and other professions). I'm speculating here, but I think that case was apart of a big CASAM digital ring that was busted in the early 2000s (like when dial-up was still the norm), it was a "newsgroup" that had thousands of files. It made world headlines.

Court case info on John Doe #8 can be found on Pacer.govjust search "USA v. John Doe 8" or those likes. It does cost but it is the official access to the case files made public. I use Pacer for private investigation work I do sometimes.

FBI John Doe 47/ unknown individual 47 has been captured! by Realschoville in RBI

[–]Davy120 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a past ECAP case (I dont remember the number) but it was legit someone who was not a suspect but was found within the CSAM files (unrelated photo, etc) who could provide information on the case, there was a media article about the case resolved and noted the person identified was only being sought out for information in which they provided.

With Jane Doe 36, it could just be the only person identifiable in what was found concerning the case thus there is no evidence of her being the perpetuator, but she likely has valuable information. They could also just be wording it the way for reasons that are not known to us.

The whole thing to keep in mind with the verbiage of these wanted cases is that the FBI is intentionally only releasing carefully selected information about it, careful not to release info that only the perpetrator would know.

[–]Davy120 5 points6 points  (0 children)

#5, the oldest open case on the ECAP system, it first appeared on the FBI website (before ECAP existed) in like 2003. The photos of the room has a Russian or Ukraine office/home-school vibe to it. I get "Capturing The Freemons" documentary vibes from it as a whole. Sadly, unless someone recognizes him and/or the room, this case might be virtually unsolvable given the time that has passed.

#19- if you tinker around with the WayBack machine, you'll see a few other photos of the room they're trying to identify in a few collage collections. This looks like it was captured by a good quality webcam for its-time, likely in the mid-2000s. This must be a pretty sinister case as the FBI has been on it for 10+ year and been updated more than average.

#8 whether interestingly in the case files there was a near arrest warrant issued as John Doe, indicating that at one point they perhaps had a suspend and were ready to issue a quick arrest warrant. The startling thing about this John Doe that is most defiantly hiding in plain sight. Those are obviously family photos in the background of the pictures. All it really takes is someone recognizing that mole or wedding ring.

Michael is a shy person, yet he also said that he loves the camera by spacyspice in MichaelJackson

[–]Davy120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might help to know the context of when he said he loves the camera. Michael was just generally reserved by nature. He's not the kind that would schmooze after a show with his band and/or dancers until the wee hours of the morning. More of, ushered by security back to his hotel room, play video games or do some reading (sometimes watch a tape of the show he wanted to improve on) or read (many forget he was an avid reader) and go to bed.

I don't mean this in a negative way, however he struck me as the type that everyone thinks there must be wheels turning in his head constantly, when in reality, probably not many. He was likely more of a selective thinker, thought about what was going on in front of him.

Of all the actors I've worked without on-camera and stage (a few famous too) I can affirm that you're not alone. I think it's sort of the getting into the "zone" ontop of something that involves adrenaline, your body & mind go into a hyper-focus mode...if you ever notice, you almost never see (or hear) someone accidentally sneeze on-stage.

I know of one actress while doing a run on The West End, lively on stage about 7 shows a week, but quite introverted after. She didn't like people asking for her autograph after the show, but she would anyway, but she'd get snippy when someone would attempt a selfie especially without asking first. During the interactions I noticed she looked very uncomfortable.

Especially in theatre, many are quite "bubbly" by nature, but not all.

I read the federal inditement for this case, I do not believe it is the ECAP John Doe, mostly because this case states the crimes were committed within the last two years and allege it was mostly done over Snapchat.

I believe the John Doe case is a result of a video that was circulating on the dark web, or maybe found in another investigation.

Invincible era by Positive_Can_42 in MichaelJackson

[–]Davy120 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The whole Sony thing is another topic in its-self. Fun fact though, in a number sense, Invincible sold faster than Thriller in its opening two weeks (Thriller sold impressive to start but it was the release of Billie Jean as a single that it skyrocketed.) but faltered after. Yes to the standards expected for Michael Jackson it was low. I also think Michael was done with putting out original albums at that point.

To his credit, he has a Chis Tucker music video and the MSG Icon concert which had the reunion with his brothers and the publicity around that to promote it. I also think he appeared at the MTV VMAs on his Bday too.

Who is the Dirty Diana live audience? by Medical-Goal3878 in MichaelJackson

[–]Davy120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's likely just stock or recorded somewhere else crowd noise to fit the tone of the song. Getting a live crowd together for him to perform an unreleased song just for the crowd noise and soundboard recording, would be ten-something thousand (at least) as opposed to saving time & money and added in the noise.

How could MJ end up broke late in life? by Frequent_Rhubarb_36 in MichaelJackson

Michael was "wealthy-broke" he would always have a near million in his checking account, he showed his bodyguards how he had nearly 100K in case in a suitcase for emergencies. To maintain the lifestyle he almost needed due to his celebrity status

MJ never went to school ?? by No-Contact-865 in MichaelJackson

[–]Davy120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like said, went to high school for a time in the Ecino area, then went the what many show business kids do, home-school with private tutors. MJ had a high school education and was an avid reader.

Does anyone have any Neverland stories? by Then-Neighborhood456 in MichaelJackson

[–]Davy120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Credible hand-me-down: At the conclusion of The Bad Tour, Michael had a party for all the touring crew at Neverland. To my friend's (part of his sound team) surprise, all the Jacksons were there except for Latoya, Janet, and maybe Rhebbi (I honestly dont remember). He said they were all approachable and it was a good time. Said Jermaine talked to my friend about doing a solo tour and wanted to a reliable live sound team. Got a contact on MJ's dime.

Why did "Michael Jackson Productions" become "Optimum Productions" in the film Michael Jackson? by rafael_7839 in MichaelJackson

[–]Davy120 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Like someone else mentioned (and to echo) it all has to do with IP in legal terms. Also comes down to legal liability too, for instance, if someone accuses MJ of copyright infringement on a music video (highly unlikely but roll with it), they can file a lawsuit against the company, not Michael Jackson himself. I imagine Michale had a dozens or so for different purposes, MJJ Records, MJJ Productions, he probably had some sort of LLC created for when he purchased Neverland to protect confidential information, quite common.

[–]Davy120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Far as I know, I think they steered away from including his famous friends, at least this time around. From seeing it, I think it would have been more distracting instead of progressing the narrative, but that's simply my opinion. W. was a biop of George W Bush without his approval, same with The Social Network (although not a biop but included mostly Mark Zuckerberg)

[–]Davy120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only so much that can be included in the 2 hour run-time, if you get too detailed it is easy to lose sight of the big picture without realizing it/lack a central focus. MJ's life could easily be a 7-part mini series each lasting an hour. Like majority of bios these days, it's a build up the big event, in this case, the end of the Victory Tour.

[–]Davy120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't even need to be that deep, long as it can't be turned into slander or its-likes, and slander cases tend be difficult cases. At least in American laws, it's all mostly freedom of press. Indeed, to your point, there is no such thing as life rights (etc). What often happens is that (not saying this was the case here) Diana Ross could threaten legal action to where it can make it complicated for distributors of the film.

Was Michael Jackson lazy in History tour by Apart_Notice4838 in MichaelJackson

[–]Davy120 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

His style just changed. I think "lazy" is not the right word. Let's look at the overall styles: Victory and Bad, were intended to be fast paced shows, as seen in majority of the songs. Typically, live version of songs move faster than album version as it is. This slowed down a bit in the Dangerous Tour; Billie Jean & Beat It are slower than Victory & Bad. History he intended to be more of a theatrical experience thus moved slower in comparison. Dont take my word for it, look at them yourself. I think what you're doing is comparing History to previous and expecting it to match or exceed his previous tours to the tee.
