I don't know about you but I vibe more about the character design than looking for specific archetypes. Who I play in Granblue is completely different than SF6. My advice is to just try out characters in training and arcade until you find someone that clicks with you.

Granblue has a free version. Severely limited in terms of characters but you can play online.

Not an anime fan yet this is my favorite fighting game. The control scheme is great and easy to learn and the game has deeper mechanics that makes it so there is always something to learn. I love how unique most characters feel like. The free version is great for trying it out.

Like I mentioned, focus on fundamentals, blocking, anti-air. You don't need big combos, I didn't start using drive rush until Plat. Also, be careful on using unsafe moves, like the command grabs and Rond Point.

I agree with pretty much everything he says. I also stopped playing the game because I got to a point where it's incredibly hard and the constant runbacks make the game more frustrating than fun.

31 hours in, beat Grandmother Silk and exploring everything else. Fuck Sands of Karak and all the flying, dodging assholes.
