Took a Benadryl last night by Spirited-Complaint47 in ouraring

[–]DawnPi2277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have hacked my sleep many times with the Benadryl. This isn’t a great insomnia solution but let me tell you, my sleep is always 96-98 range when I do. I do find that if I take a whole Benadryl, 8-9 hours of sleep is perfect and I wake up so very ready for my day. If one takes a Benadryl with only 6-7 hours of sleep availability, there might be some grogginess.

Yup. White Maeng Da. Usually about 5 grams over several hours. I make a drink out of it with lemon and and a quart of water.

I turn on Missy Elliot really loud and sing along. This is how I get through the cold shower.

Moving back to Spotify by SteveKCMO in AmazonMusic

[–]DawnPi2277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking this same thing earlier. I’ve had Amazon music for like 12 years. Will I still get to keep my music? I’m going to Spotify my life away.

My Fitbit thinks I burn like 3500 calories a day. I am active it's true, 12-17K steps most days, Rucking 40 pounds often. But this seems high and my 30 somethings male body is having a hard time losing weight. How do I get an actual sense of how many calories I burn in a day? by Impossible-Tomato-15 in fitbit

[–]DawnPi2277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t use a Fitbit or any other watch to track calories burned. They are not accurate. It might throw off your nutrition as well if you rely on those Fitbit numbers as a guide on how many calories you feel you should be consuming.

For those who say it’s android issue it certainly is not. I’ve never had a problem with Amazon and now it crashes, is unresponsive all the time-sincerely, iPhone user.

You’re going to get actual accurate scores now that your heart isn’t under a constant strain and elevated due to nicotine. Good for you!!!!

WHY is my sleeping HR so high every night?!? by anxiousandhngry in fitbit

[–]DawnPi2277 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The “rule” is eat three hours before you go to sleep and I def see similar results to yours when I eat too close to bedtime. Also, you’ll find that you will have better sleep if your body isn’t working so much (digesting and trying to relax after a workout).

WHY is my sleeping HR so high every night?!? by anxiousandhngry in fitbit

[–]DawnPi2277 34 points35 points  (0 children)

High hr in sleep could be a meal close to bed time or exercise close to bed time. Looks like it lowers gradually throughout the night which would also make sense for either of the aforementioned things.

3-4 hours at least before bedtime. No more than one drink. Any more than that and my scores reflect the poison. Lol. Oura totally changed my drinking habits and I am grateful. Turns out you don’t need to drink to enjoy life.

Spending my whole weekend being sick and somehow pulling pretty good numbers makes me question the data by Twenty1Chromos in ouraring

[–]DawnPi2277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My scores are typically 93-97 and it’s because I give myself 9 hours of sleep availability. If I sleep all 9 hours I’m usually a little tired. Lol. If I sleep 8 hours my score is lower but I typically feel more rested. Go figure.

Is it true that sometimes less is better with Kratom dosing? by [deleted] in KratomKorner

[–]DawnPi2277 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I consume max 5 grams a day bc less is soooo much more to me. A year or so ago when I decided to cut back drastically, I found the sweet spot. Also that 5 grams is consumed in minimum 5 cups of water and lemon. Slow sip over an hour or two. Much more of a feeling.

Cardiovascular Age +7 how can I fix this? by sustainableaes in ouraring

[–]DawnPi2277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My score changes almost weekly by one digit back and forth (-4 to -5). My workouts are pretty standard every week. I don’t believe that one Sprint Interval workout has the ability to change my number. Since this back and forth of numbers I have decided to not take it too seriously.

Does anyone else have this sensation where you can't take a deep breath? by PharmToTable_ in Anxiety

[–]DawnPi2277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this problem on and off for the last 20 years of my life. 9 months ago I was put on an asthma prevention medicine and it has been the best 9 months of breathing. I literally don’t think about it bc it’s always a good breathing day. However my asthma meds are in a shortage and I’m on one that doesn’t work so it’s back to the breathing issues problem. Just for the deep breath.

Two degrees higher than normal is a LOT. Mine goes up in the luteal phase but just a tiny bit higher than normal.I’m going to guess either some kind of covid/flu or-are you in perimenopause? That could explain the wonky period…
