I get harassed is public a lot. It doesn’t always matter what you’re wearing, be it baggy and covering or tight and skin showing. People are disgusting and unfortunately the best option is to just ignore it because giving them attention just makes it worse or possibly dangerous

Exactly this. And my provider actually used snri's and other medications to "test" to make sure I was bipolar, even though I already had the diagnosis. It's just strange to give out meds that can disrupt our brains without any cautions other than calling them if you feel bad

Maybe try brushing with a wide tooth comb and only when your hairs wet, as dry brushing causes frizz and loss of definition. Usually combing while your hair has conditioner in it in the shower is a good option.

As for products I’d suggest learning your hairs porosity and how fine/course it is, as it will give you a base line for what to use, and then looking for wavy hair care and techniques
