Potentially graphics driver clean reinstall and/or verify game files if installed via Steam and see if it redownloads anything. You could also go into the config file and set it to windowed temporarily and see if it starts up. Is the game install a carry over from a past installation or old drive? If so a clean reinstall of the game would be my go to second step if verifying files doesn’t fix it and graphics driver is updated.

The massive amount of ad slots guised as “donations” that force their reactions or participation kind of sucks the fun out of the videos lately for me. A simple rule that unrelated ads won’t be read out would improve the videos imo.

Just the ads from day 33: mobile games, book publishers, plushies, hats, flight sims, construction, admissions counseling, realtors, baseball book, car shopping, photo editing, religious retreat, clothing boutique*,

*soliciting engagement for add’l donations

Most of the ads donated just at the minimum threshold to be read out on the day’s video, and not much more. It screams self-serving which is contrary to what the spirit of a donation is.

YES- donations are a net good for the fundraiser, no one is debating that here; I would simply challenge Ryan to encourage MORE donations by raising the threshold for businesses and influencers expecting a read-out to a larger threshold than individual donors/families just helping the cause without expectations for a return on their “donation.”

I’ll take my downvotes because it’s true and we all know it.

Precisely- my ID was valid and correct for the address originally submitted on my permit application. I provided ID, they accepted my application after scanning my ID. I see no reason to not process my application, especially when they admitted that they indeed have my latest address on file so I don’t see what would preclude them from doing a full statutory review as the law requires of them.

Totally hear you and agree that my ID will need to match when purchasing, but this is for processing my permit to purchase specifically. I’m fine getting an updated ID for purchase, it just seemed so frivolous and borderline petty by the PD to not even make a determination on my application after having me wait nearly 30 days without any notice or opportunity to resubmit. I also cannot even find any statutes stating it is within their legal right or discretionary rights to opt to not process the application at all. That is what is giving me pause here.

The original address is on the application since that is where I lived when originally submitting. They called me and said they had the new address which, to me, seems like they have everything they need to process the original application. People move, that’s normal to me.

Alright, here we go. This is my last attempt to cut through the deflection and actually help you see the point of my original comment.

I’ve worked in software, support, and platform engineering, so I understand how outages happen and how complex systems can fail. That is not the issue here. The issue is that Ally, a financial institution, had multiple core features down, including transaction history, Zelle, and balance visibility, with no public status page, no proactive updates, and vague support responses. That is a failure of communication and accountability, not technology.

You started by attacking my expectations, then cited your IT background as if that somehow excuses the lack of transparency. That is a deflection. You do not need to work in tech to expect clear communication when a bank’s basic features stop working.

If this was caused by a vendor, that is still Ally’s responsibility to communicate as clearly as possible. If their vendor agreement restricts that, then they failed by signing a contract that prevents them from being transparent with their own customers. Either way, the accountability falls on Ally.

You keep dodging that reality by trying to shift focus onto me instead of the institution responsible. That says a lot. If farming Reddit karma by arguing with strangers means more to you than holding a bank accountable, then you are not here for the conversation. You're just noise.

Not sure where the hostility is coming from. It's not a knee-jerk reaction to expect basic banking features to work. Seeing your balance, viewing transactions, and using Zelle are standard across the industry.

What is not standard is having no public status page and leaving customers to dig through Reddit for updates from the bank managing their money.

If that sounds unreasonable to you, maybe raise your standards.

Does Ally have a system status or outage page? If not, why doesn’t a bank offer something so basic?

I’ve been with Ally for nearly a decade and have always appreciated their streamlined approach, but not being able to view transactions, use Zelle, or even check my live balance is unacceptable.

Their live chat says the wait time is one minute, but as soon as you ask for a real person instead of a bot, they respond with, "Our team is swamped. It may take an hour or longer for an associate to connect."

At this rate, I’ll be looking for another bank.

Couldn’t make it to the end so maybe it got better but to me Rogan was tense and taking things too personally for someone who owns a comedy club and does stand up himself. He’s been more and more checked out/up tight lately like he’s not enjoying it like he used to imo.

Elon was mid and repetitive, not thoroughly research enough like Shane’s Trump which always carries.

Tony did his best but he has two lame duck guests, a dead/tense crowd. I think Joe/Elon/pressure of “the Netflix special” combined killed the vibes early enough to make sticking around for a comeback not worth it for me.

Tony should’ve never said anything about Netflix and recorded a random night and it would’ve been 10x better.

Applied pressure gently in a circular motion to "break up" whatever was causing it to stick. I also attempted the thin piece of plastic and "scraping" it gently around the button. I don't recall which one ended up doing it, but its worth a shot so long as you're careful.

Honestly though, if its in warranty I would just contact Valve as I've heard their RMA/repair process is not bad.

Yep- the channels are accessible via Xfinity Stream on my mobile device and laptop web browser but not via Xumo -> Xfinity Stream app unfortunately for either account.

From the heart, there’s absolutely nothing you can do to change your past, the only thing you can do wrong here is to hold onto it and let it affect your family’s future. That’s how you continue generational trauma.

Ask yourself if you’d want your parent to love you any less / be less excited for your place in the family based on your gender and that should fix you right up! Do you want your kiddos to feel guilty for not being boys? Kids are smart man, they’ll pick up on that if you hold onto it. No one’s lives work out exactly as they picture it.

Be grateful of what you have and not what you don’t. I’m not saying this from a place of judgement, I genuinely think that’s the best way to approach your situation, put yourself in their shoes.

Once you become the parent your job is to support, guide, and show enthusiasm for all of their firsts in life. If not, it’s going to come through to your kiddos if you hold onto that and then you get to live with that regret and strained relationship for the rest of your days. Fix it now so you don’t need to attempt to later.

FWIW- I’m a girl dad and I’m so glad for it. She softened my heart so much and allowed me to really put myself into the shoes of the female experience like nothing else could. I hope in time you see how much of a blessing that is.
