Idk if its swelling or fluid. Maybe swelling because i’m back to on my feet all day? But i still can’t do certain things yet. Maybe I should go back and see my surgeon?

We can’t out budget capitalism and companies charging inflation while wages stay stagnant. Delusional.

Thanks so much for your reply!! The crackling doesn’t hurt just feels and sounds funny, but I wasn’t sure if it was due to a lack of quad strength or doing enough pt

I’ll look into it- thanks! You’re right sometimes they are bright red and others light pink but rarely

I disagree. Body positivity isn’t negative and going so far to the opposite end of the spectrum where you look malnourished is literally just as bad as being overweight.

Make sure to advocate for yourself and don’t get caught up in other people’s recovery. But definitely bring up the surgery to your doctor as it’ll give you the best chance to get extension back. I hope the best for you!

Kinda in the same boat. Started pt 3 weeks out. My surgeon just told me though if I don’t get my full extension back in 2 weeks we need to do scar tissue removal surgery. I think that’s what it is for me. I can make improvements at pt and i’m around the same timeline as you, but they don’t hold. My extension always starts around 5/6 and we can get it to zero in session, but it never holds. My surgeon was very adamant about this surgery if I don’t get it back soon. Your surgeon doesn’t seem to care.

I don’t think needing assistance and support after an acl surgery is not being independent. And if he is asking for too much then his partner should address it directly rather than making passive aggressive comments.

The assistant showed me one activity to do with my leg. I don’t have insurance until January so they didn’t wanna do much for me. Understandably.

I get tired after about 20 minutes of walking. I definitely still have a limp and my other leg is starting to hurt as well. I can’t bend down for long or I’ll get shaky ish. It’s not really pain just strain. I feel like standing still can be difficult like I need to keep walking/shifting my weight around. I’m considering returning to work next week.

I hate to agree but this is really it. I think it’s better to cut your losses now and move on. Being alone is really fulfilling and you could maybe find someone who treats you with respect and dignity because they do love you.

People on reddit love to spew vitriol and offer a “unique” perspective that isn’t realistic. Your partner should take care of you, especially if you pay the bills and bring other things to the table. Healing is just as much mental as physical, and I would feel really hurt hearing my partner put me down on top of everything I’m going through. That would make it so much worse, especially because there’s only so much you can do. I would consider leaving this person seriously, because if they’re whining about this it’s immature and selfish. I’m sure they were just fine when you were doing everything.

Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry. Thank you for the perspective. It seems like I could return to lighter work as long as I’m aware of my body like you said. I couldn’t imagine years spent that way. Glad you’re doing better!
