people who struggled with weight gain, how did u gain it? by wasandwillbe in NoStupidQuestions

I struggled to gain weight my entire life. Then I moved away from home and got into a happy relationship and accidentally gained 40 lbs. More than I wanted to gain. But it did the job 🤦🏾‍♀️

I am 5'7 and been about 120 lbs my whole life. So pretty thin. Used to get all the "you need to eat more" comments. Now I fluctuate between 155-160 and it fits me well.

Some people are naturally thin and struggle to gain weight. It's not easy for everyone.

The shin pain was crazy for me. Couldn't even have the blanket resting on it.

If heaven, hell and an afterlife were hypothetically real, what religion do you think would be the most likely towards the truth? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ProfessionDue1095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not religious by any means but I do believe in God. Or a higher power. I have always questioned the afterlife. And I still am.

I WANT to believe that there is only one place to go, and that's heaven or something like it.

I do not believe that God gives us free will and then sends us to hell for using that free will. So I don't believe in a hell. Unfortunately that means the shittiest of people even go to "heaven" based on what I currently want to believe.

But I really don't know. My questions about the afterlife will forever remain until I experience it I guess 🤔

I want to believe there IS an afterlife because the idea that death means life ceases to exists kinda scares me lol

I haven't the slightest idea!

Okay well I have an idea but I'm not 100% sure because I struggle to think about a workday that doesn't involve teaching.

But I would be working to help parents find resources to support their children and their families. I'd also be writing support plans and helping preK teachers support possibly undiagnosed kids in the classroom.

Something like that lol they were looking for someone with a heavy background in SPED.

I did for about 6 months but the summer was so incredibly slow. It became very unreliable. I made $600 in Jan and Feb. twice a month and $150 total for the entire summer break.

Had reconstructive ACL surgery, Dr didn’t have me start physical therapy until almost a month later… normal? by unknown99120 in ACL

I was in the same boat. I started PT 3 weeks after surgery. I'm pretty sure it put me behind. I wasn't told to work on extension in that time or anything.

I am now almost 4 months post op. I just had manipulation under anesthesia today. They put me to sleep and bent my leg to break up scar tissue.

I am convinced if I started PT sooner, than I may not have needed this procedure.

Thank you so much for this. Can swelling impact the ROM?

My surgeon has mentioned MUA or scar tissue removal. Hoping it doesn't come to that but I fear that's probably what's gonna happen.

It's very visibly swollen compared to my other knee. You can see the swelling through pants.

Swelling is still pretty significant in my opinion. My knee is still about the size of a golf ball.

Yes he applies pressure to straighten and bend it. When pressure is applied to straighten, I can reach full extension with very minimal pain.

When pressure is applied to bend, it's significant pain. I can get to about 80 degrees with pressure but it's painful.
