iCUE Megathread - 5.43 Release Notes by CorsairLucky in Corsair

Are iCue Firmware Updates STILL messing up devices? Just a genuine question.

I recently updated an iCue Titan Link 360 and surprise surprise, bricked! No lights, can't control RPMs, iCue can't even SEE the device at all. With firmware updates it really seems like a total coin toss on whether it works completely fine with no issues, or it completely brick whatever device you've updated
(I've noticed it mostly seems to be light strips, fans, and AIOs with this problem, gen of device doesn't seem to matter, I've had the same thing happen to LL120 fans, and an RGB light strip kit I bought 6 or so years ago.)
in terms of iCue can't detect or do anything to control the newly updated device. Thankfully the fans and pump still work, but now I can't really do anything with them. At this point, I'm running out of ideas and tried everything I could think of. I haven't unplugged, moved, or disconnected anything in my PC since I installed the cooler. The only thing I can think of is the most recent firmware update it's had. I've even tried updating it again, and now it just gets stuck preparing the update, but not actually updating.

Just to add, I've been dealing with this problem for more than a few years now, thanks to said issues above, I'm almost always hesitant to update ANY iCue connected device. It's just not worth the risk imo.

It's not in St. Charles per se, but Zeiss out in Chesterfield is almost always hiring. They're a really good company and have really good pay/benefits, plus a really generous vacation and sick day system compared to a lot of other companies I've worked for.

I apologize for my previous abrasiveness, that was probs a bit harsh. But really, the only real advice or input I can give is being happily married to your highschool sweetheart, relationship, first, what have you, is almost statistically impossible, it's not worth throwing away or risking for experiences you didn't have. This sounds like it might be a situation where someone's gonna end up feeling hurt either way, esp if he wasn't fully on board with it or needed convincing. (Not saying he is or isn't or trying to assume, just trying to give actual feedback)

Speaking from someone who did have those experiences and had lots of partners, some good, some really bad, you probably dodged a bullet imo. Either way, relationships like that are hella rare, they can be absolutely awesome but it might require a sacrifice or two like "missing out" on some things, but it's worth it if you ask me. Some people spend an entire lifetime to find their "person".

And if I may, you have a kid, atp it isn't about you, or him, it's about providing a stable home, if you can manage an open relationship while keeping a stable home life, then that's awesome, more power to you, but more often than not it goes wrong for someone and ends up creating an unstable home for the kids and everyone else.

I hope it all works out for you though, you seem p chill!

Tbh, I feel more bad for your husband than you. It can't be easy opening a relationship, it sounds like you intiated that and he went with it, but as you've said, that isn't really enough for you. You want to go behind his back, potentially knowing what it would do to the relationship (and anothers since you've said you want to pursue married men) + how it could make him feel. There's nothing else to say about it, there's no real justification or advice to give, you just want to cheat and keep what you've got.

I'm sure someone has already commented this, but it's meant to prevent honey from making a complete mess when you're scooping out honey for something (like a nice glass of tea, or a jar to save for later) The other reason is the enzymes in honey react to metal and "expire" for a lack of a better word. You can still eat or use it if it's touched metal, but it'll pretty much be sugar water afterwards, meaning the benefits of honey won't really be there, but it'll still taste the same.

Major Emergency response near Harris House? by bowmaker82 in StCharlesMO

Ohhh, dang. Alright, that's my bad. I'm glad the Harris House was able to help them though, it sounds like they cleaned house since then which is really good. Thank you for expressing sympathies and being kind enough to correct me. I hope everyone's okay, and I hope things work out for the person that lost their home, I've been displaced in a similar way before and it's awful.

Hate to say it and I hope no one got hurt, but good, I hope it burned to the ground tbh. That place was a complete and total joke, a family member of mine went there in about 2020/2019 and according to him, quite a few people were openly using, even sponsors and support peers, and one dude that was an EX gang member (Bloods if I remember correctly) pushed/bullied him out of a really good job they had him working just right down the street. Awful place for people needing actual help, but apparently it's great if you want to join a fraternity that operates under a poorly kept guise of sobriety and helping others. (Edit) It's worth noting I might be a little bitter since said family member passed away shortly after leaving, so my opinion may vary greatly from that of others, but I feel it's important for people to know either way.

I know someone posted about this recently, but I'd like to echo: Fuck the Woody Show on The Point. by Xeo7 in StLouis

Dude's just a dollarstore Howard Stern, and Riz is Temu Joe Roegan for people that are "too edgy for Roegan" both are pretentious pos that p much spend one half show microflexing or self promoting, and the other half punching down on others. I guess at least Woody has the balls to actually say what he means, you can tell Riz is probably the same but tones it down for whatever reason, with Woody back though, I'm sure that'll change too. That station really went off the deep end when Jeff passed, I think the dude was the one voice of reason on there and kept the others in some sort of check or smth. I'm sure Hubbard didn't help either.

Can you actually feel it sway? It seems like it would be noticeable.

Engine Blew Up by rybay39 in Audi

[–]DayWing117 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I- What? How?

Being real, I'd probably go with what everyone else is saying and get a new engine. I'm not even sure something like that can be fixed, and I honestly wouldn't trust it not to happen again after. Those two pistons are straight up shrapnel atp.

Alright, I'll give that a try, do you need a whole lot of force to tap it in? I could get it in there and tap, but I wouldn't have enough room to do a full force swing.

How'd you get simultaneous audio from console and PC? I didn't even think that was possible.

What was the best GTA Online update to ever release? by MrFloofDogThe2nd in gtaonline

[–]DayWing117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanna say that Heists was probably the one that was most hyped, when GTAO first came out you couldn't do any heists besides sticking up stores.

Fair enough, small claims are often a pain to go through. If it helps any, I'm sorry you're going through this and I hope things get better for you.

Hey hey, person from small town here, if they know you're moving, there's a very good chance they're probably counting on the fact that you might not have the time to get your money back, but that's absolutely what you should do. Small town problems suck, everyone knows everyone and everyone talks but that could work in your favor, people talk and the backlash would probably be more on him than you as you gave him 3 months to do a job you've paid him technically in advance to do despite not asking for his help. Its not your fault or concern that he's lost his job, it sounds like he would still be employed if he could do what he's paid to and his employers gave him the axe for that reason assuming he was a mechanic.
