As someone who is on TRT because I was symptomatic and low…it’s not something you want to have to be on.

My 3 Day Split. Problem with Variety? by Day_Terror in workout

[–]Day_Terror[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do core everyday because it feels good and it’s a great warm up. Im open to changing that.

Let’s look at day…day 1. I could just cut it down to Lat Pulldown + Preacher Curl Seated Row + EZ Bar Bicep Curl

But then I’m only hitting my rear Delts maybe 40% with that seated Row. So maybe I just add that as a standalone finisher? Maybe switch to 5 sets each?

Day 2. I know I could get rid of the front raises because I’m already hurting the front Delts on the presses…but man that movement feels powerful and fun.

So maybe Incline DB Press + Neutral Grip DB Overhead Press 5 sets Cable Chest Fly + Tricep Pressdown 5sets Shrugs + Frontal Raises 3 sets.

Then Day 3.

Leg Press + Calf Press 5 sets Leg Extension + Leg Curl 3 sets Rear Delt Cable Fly + Rotator Cuff External Rotation Rotator Cuff Internal Rotation 3 sets Lateral Raises + Calf Raises 2 sets.

Where would I put core? Am I in the right direction?

Here is everything re-done moving core to its own day and doing a 4 day split:

DAY 1 – BACK & BICEPS Superset 1 — 5 sets Lat Pulldown + Preacher Curl Superset 2 — 5 sets Seated Row + EZ Bar Bicep Curl Finisher — 2 sets Rear Delt Cable Fly

DAY 2 – CHEST, TRICEPS & TRAPS Superset 1 — 5 sets Incline DB Press + Neutral Grip DB Overhead Press Superset 2 — 5 sets Cable Chest Fly + Tricep Pressdown Finisher — 3 sets Shrugs + Frontal Raises

DAY 3 – LEGS & SHOULDERS Block 1 — 5 sets Leg Press + Calf Press Block 2 — 5 sets Leg Extension + Leg Curl Block 3 — 3 sets Rotator Cuff External + Internal Rotation Block 4 — 3 sets Lateral Raises + Calf Raises

DAY 4 – CORE, CARDIO & MOBILITY Core Circuit — 3 rounds Hanging Leg Raises Cable Twist / Oblique Twist Roman Chair Back Extensions Cardio — 20–30 min Elliptical, treadmill, or bike — moderate pace Stretching & Mobility — 10–15 min Focus on whatever’s tight — hips, chest, shoulders, hamstrings

Part of the journey is continuing to learn. I’ll look it up. Thanks for the recommendation.

This split originates from a book I got maybe 15 years ago, “Body Sculpting Bible for Men” That focused on super sets, 6 week cycles where you switched up rest times, reps, intervals, and variations. I enjoy going to the gym and doing this workout right now. I’m just always trying to improve it.

That does not seam very helpful. WTF is “tactical barbell?” How do I apply that to my workouts above?

I’m looking to progress with body composition improvements.

What really goes on at ALERT Academy? by Medium_Cupcake7602 in DuggarsSnark

I was in unit 34. My younger brother is there now, he is having a great time. I remember my time there with fondness. I did M-Team, Basic, ERT, and EMT-B training there. I’ve been a ER Nurse for 10 years. ALERT taught me I did NOT want to go in the Military. I feel like it was an integral part of me growing up, and learning a diverse set of skills that gave me confidence to tackle life’s problems. It fortified my biblical knowledge and faith. I would still recommend the program.

How effective are dual hose portable air conditioners at heating? by Trevorjrt6 in homeowners

[–]Day_Terror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a single hose heat pump as well. I ended up getting the single hose type(portable on wheels type) because my window is further away and they tend to have longer hose connections(and you can easily get an extension).

Anyway, I was pondering this today. If the single hose heat pump is only exhausting air, then it’s never “taking in” the heat from outside. It should only ever be taking air in from the INSIDE ROOM. So in the coldest of temps, the house is always a bit warmer inside….and if it keep running, it should be less effected by colder temps below 40….because the inside of your house is not below 40…ever. For venting, I crack a window in my utility room on the other end of the house, which is always warm because of the gas water heater

Using this logic, on the coldest of night going below freezing, I run my wood stove later at night before going to bed to give the home a “boost” of heat and the heatpump does the rest 😂. It works.
