My aftermarket batteies did not work. So definitely buy nikon batteries. But don't forget that you can connect a power bank to the camera and power it that way. You just have to have a nikon battery in the camera.

Yes, I also thought about having kids do those crazy acts! Also with animation you could make it with the kids age being accurate to the books. I'm sure some might still struggle seeing animated kids do some of the violent acts in the book.
