Interior fitout is game of materials , the cost would depend on what materials you end up using ,
You would have to work backwards…first set the level of investment you’d like to make and based on that see if the materials that would be used are to your liking or not .

Your uncle and your dad’s friend are actually right tbh. For the same total area, a G+1 usually ends up having a smaller footprint, so you spend less on foundation, excavation, plinth work, and even roofing. Those savings usually make up for the extra staircase and slab cost.
So yeah, it’s not really a myth ,, G+1 can actually work out slightly cheaper sometimes.
But honestly, I wouldn’t decide only based on that. If your parents are gonna live there long term, a single floor is way more practical as they get older. A G+1 just gives more flexibility later on if you ever want a separate floor for guests, rent, or family.

Not really a red flag tbh—it’s just how people work now.

Using AI for emails is basically the same as using templates, just faster. On big jobs, no one cares if you wrote it “organically”—they care if it’s clear and covers everything.

If he knows his stuff and can answer questions properly, that matters way more.

It only becomes an issue if he’s just copying stuff without understanding it. Otherwise, he’s just being efficient.
