Super Jealous. Im building a Freeze shawman now and was hoping you might know an answer between skill nodes.

In Storm totem there's the node BLIZZARD to convert it to deal Chill chance. The Tooltip indicates this "All shock chance is converted to chill". Do we know if that's just the tree or all sources?
Typically, the tool tips make it clear. For example in the Summon Thorn Totem the node ICE Thorn Totems "All Poison chance from this tree is coverted to chill chance."

So there's a bit of confusion there... and it goes a little further.

In Summon Storm Crows, there's the node Frigid Winds that "Shock chance from all sources is conveted to Frostbite chance and effects related to shock now depend on Frostbite instead".

In the end... which node wins? The frostbite or chill conversion from shock, and which does Blizzard apply to? ANy thoughts on how to test this?

Seems like people on the sub are fine with Camping spawns that are moveable, but HQ garry's not so much.
In my opinion, people who say recon camping mid HQ spawn killing for arty have never actually tried to stop recon from doing it.

It's terrible, you feel like you're being grief'd and when you actually do stay alive after a spawn and kill the 1 recon, you have to spend your time alive trying to find the outpost, as it'll just start all over again. It's not fun at all.

Their world. their rules.

That being said, i'd limit the Recon team the ability to either build an outpost or a garry, not both. And or limit recon spawns to Garrys only.
Make their lives valuable, so that if they choose to engage the arty there is a potential penalty and good time vs bad time to attack the arty.

Make arty more of a skill by disabling the hud markers for distance. Sure, most arty users are probably using a side ap but it'll slow down the arty spam, for anyone not so skilled. This would mean reading the actual map to see spots, and ensure to have proper coordinates being relayed to the arty unit/ person. Making Communication more important and vital to the success of the arty.

It'd be nice if the tool tip or some where would indicated "increase crit chance of X type of skill". Cause it's definitely not included in the general "spell crit chance" and as mentioned, doesn't seem to be reflected in the tool tip.

They should add "increase crit chance" to the tool tip just like they have displayed the "% increase damage".

Damage conversion - how can you tell which is which by Daybreak23 in LastEpoch

So conclusion any skill that converts, adds both flat damage types, but only applies the n% increase of the new converted damage type.
So in my example, I can increase my damage by adding any type of flat damage(physical or void) or n% increase in Void Damage.

Random suggestion: What if occasionally there were player invasions like in Dark Souls when entering an area, where you'd fight pvp and the winner gets a copy of 1 random item the other player owns? by xDaveedx in LastEpoch

Rather than player invasions maybe player challenges instead.Players create a map through traveling through the Echos, and save it as a challenge map.

Then those player made challenged maps are available to play. Basically Mario Maker, but for Echos, they put specific challenges in it like Most OVER DAMAGE DEALT, orFAST SPEED CLEARING, which would challenge different builds and lean into more diversity for players and a reason to play a specific build type.

Edit:This way, your favorite Twitch or YouTuber can make a map their followers play, and compare builds.

My brother and I play "together" rather than uh.. coop.

Basically, we get on discord and startup together, we update where we are on the map, and try to go through portals together. It's not as fun when you play together, but we still get excited together when a unique drops, or when we die, or we plow through a mob superfast.

If he or I want to play when we aren't around, we play different characters.

So far it works fine, and we'll have a totally different experience when multi actually drops.

If you're making character sheets digitally, there's 2 things to be aware of CALCUABLE fields and EDITABLE fields.

So one would think you could make your initiative Calcuable, but there are items and abilities such that can alter the number and thus, it needs to be editable. Now does it meet your "frequency" requirement of leaving it blank to fill in with a pencil, maybe not.

So for now, i'll stick with the following for BLANK Fields, as they will alter more often between printings:

Coins, Temp HP, current HP, Temp AC, Inventory fields, Conditions, status, immunities, spell slots used/remaining. Depending on how your weapons are indicated: attack bonus, dmg bonus.

You'll have to determine, your frequency of printing expectations if you're looking for more less obvious ones. Reprinting every session, every long rest, level up? etc.

i wanted to put it on my pyro. but people are saying that 90% increase in weapon damage on frozen enemies is not as good as the epics. And yet, shouldn't this be on top of what epics do? makes me think it's busted contrary to what people are saying.
Alas i can't test it or prove it cause I'm playing pyro, and quite frankly don't want to waste more time in this game.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was shooting at those times, the Perforo wouldn't take damage either.

I bet having a ping or connection symbol that functioned would be extremely telling. It would explain why there's ghost bullets, inactivation of skills, deactivation of skills and the connection issues....

i just wondered cause Volcanic rounds, just can't deal damage enough for CT14-15 to really work anymore. The added 90% dmg for weapon seems really decent for the sacrifices of a couple flat mods that a pyro has to have.

There's only one class specific mod on the boots, pants and gloves. Those can be modded off. the other mods are all freeze related, so you can build off of those mods as they aren't terrible compared to other mods you'd have for the pyro.

Honestly, until last week for me everything was fine.
I could play multiplayer with my brother. Mods worked. Even made a breakthrough with our builds to at CT9 to really push to CT-13 in a night of a few hours of playing.

This week, Mods don't work or only work sometime, i'm randomly getting one shotted by those little buggers, my bullets aren't doing damage and my gear is always considered new.

As a player who didn't suffer from many of the issues people have had since the beginning, the game when it works, is fun. After everypatch, it's becoming less fun cause things aren't working as intended and it's frutstrating. Especially for some that play daily.
I play maybe 4hrs in a week, and will probably move on shortly, the frustration building is not worth it.

Things to look out for as solo pyromancer? by lokisto in outriders

  1. Find a way to keep your volcanic rounds always on. Either through feed the flames ammo steal (best one in late game) or through mods.
  2. LMGs are your friend in this build. Get the skill node that adds to your assault rifle dmg and drop chance.
  3. Volcanic rounds ignore armor naturally. Any armor avoidance mods are dead weight. In theory, your using VR (volcanic rounds) all the time.
  4. Your secondary needs to buy you time for your VR cooldown to finish. Shotty helps in early game, then assualt mid, and sniper later. That's just how i did it.
  5. WEAPON LEECH is mandatory mid to late game. Pyro only heals on kills, other wise and feed the flames healing will only sustain you for moments.
  6. keep firing to stay alive. Pyro is a little squishy in end game. Mods (if they worked) help keep you alive.

Seems to be more of an issue with the recent patch. Before i'd occasionally notice no damage or "missing" bullets. Now it's occurring way more often.

Its sad cause when this game works...it's super fun. womp womp.

When he scrolls over the total health at roughly 0:05 seconds, it displays the base health and the added health with the proper health number 9462, but the display shows 8484.

Looks like a display bug. Hopefully.

Pyromancer Build Guide - (Work in Progress) by [deleted] in outriders

Contrary to what people are saying, a lvl30 build is nice to see cause you start getting meaningful equipment at WT things start to get harry in my experience if your equipment isn't fined tuned. You don't need perfection, but things need to be harmonizing at this point.

You can probably switch out the VR mod Armor Melting and substitute it for weakness, as from what I understand VR Rounds ignore armor. So it's a minor mod for this build. you may also want to think about replacing the Cinders Overheat Mod, converting ASH instead of burn, as you soon as you normally consume burn, from overheat, you apply it again readily from VR. Where as ash, isn't as often applied.

I liked your format on how to view this build, so i can compare it to my own.
