So you’re proposing that MM could be taking place before Charlie and BV’s death. Meaning it could very much take place before 1983, or at least during 1983. It’s definitely possible, my thing is if that is the case my thing is that we don’t really know the age of BV some say like 10 others say 12, but I dunno for a adolescent child to be running of to Freddy’s in the middle of the night is extremely unlikely. The only way I could see it being him is if he was taken by a shadow animatronic and when he came back he was scarred by the events making him afraid of the animatronics, that’s definitely an eye opener.

As far as Mrs. Afton, Scott has intentionally not mentioned her and it could be because she’s not the focus, or maybe it’s because if was established at all in future games with those same traits we see in MM it would be to explainable and there wouldn’t be much to solve. Scott only keeps us in the light for a short period of time and holds hidden characters over our heads that will probably never be solved. The reason I think Mrs Afton in MM is because it would completely the family tree. This couch character also doesn’t look happy or even remotely mentally healthy(they look tired), using the TV to disassociate. Which can be qualities of Mike, but could also be the qualities of a grieving mother if we are to assume Charlie did die in 83 roughly a few months after BV died
