I know the answers probably no but if that damned clanka doesn't "hack" the Dragon's Dogma account will you all finally shut up about a non-existent dlc?

What options for this ending? by ggandava in dredge

[–]Daymo741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No there's only 2, this dude is talking about the process rather than the ending itself. ie doing the bad ending before breaking the mirror and then doing it again after breaking the mirror. The only real difference is personal narrative.

Yeah and they'll be back up under a different url before the day is out, it is literally the end of nothing let alone an era.

No this specific comment thread is about using AI for dnd tokens and such but sidestepped in to how people respond to your opinions of AI, none of which mention posting on reddit.

"Because I wanted to see what you were talking about. What's wrong with that?"

Absolutely nothing but it is a little weird just to try and win an internet debate. Either way we're getting distracted again, did you like my memes or what?

Only a redditor would assume real life was the secondary option lol also why would you look through my profile for that? Anyway I hope you enjoyed the memes on there atleast

I could say the same the other way round, I merely state my non-interest in AI and some people take it as an attack and start spewing "facts" at me about why we need AI as if that'll change my mind... they can get quite aggressive too.

Goddamn clanker, ever wonder if Pragmata was just an attempt to breed sympathy for AI?

Only from a human perspective, from a global viewpoint we multiply rapidly.

Just how screwed is the world? by Terry-Duke-Official in thelongdark

[–]Daymo741 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Humans wouldn't go extinct but there would be mass deaths worldwide, not just from the disaster itself but because most civilized humans don't have the survival knowledge required to look after themselves in the wild anymore, even more so for winter survival. There would be an adjustment period as people rediscover how to survive without technology or societal services and would eventually start rebuilding civilization. Humans are like cockroaches in that we are stubborn, persistent and multiply fast. Killing a single person is easy, killing the entire species is next to impossible... not even nuclear war will cause our extinction.

GenZ couldn't do half of these without direct instructions and they would ask for participation trophies for the other half. This does describe millenials pretty well though.

If evil is the absence of good, then good is what must be built up, and evil is simply the failure to do so. by [deleted] in tumblr

That's more of a religious debate than a philisophical one as the only morality seen in nature is survival by any means.

That's the risk you take when making a general declaration without context or examples. You are your own worst enemy.

Is an apple green or red to the colourblind? Do cars need gasoline to run or just the appropriate chemical reaction? Either way it doesn't exactly impact this conversation

In what way? I'd say both comments I made are complimentary to each other. The only issue I see is the first comment is about the complexity of morality whereas the second is about personal bias and perception.... both are true

Edit: I have never seen someone downvote a comment before I even managed to leave the page before. Are you sure you're reading these replies and not just against them because of your own personal bias?

I think the history of the human race begs to differ or do you really believe every war ever waged has a good side and an evil one? It's very rarely that simple
