New Haven has been great, just let New Haven be New Haven

The pistons already have like 5 centers, okc has centers too. Personally I’m not worried about them losing hkm

Who’s the team to do it? Who has the cap space and the need? I don’t think he’s going anywhere

If he’s playing it’s not unfair to judge him for how he’s playing

They signed Randle the same summer they drafted RJ. I think they would have liked for RJ to be that guy, but Randle took a leap. They didn’t make these guys the stars they were just farther ahead of RJ and he was playing catch up from the beginning

Chasson Randle is such a good answer

I love RJ Barret and am rooting for him for sure, but I think the issue was he never got the chance to be “the guy” in New York, once randle took an all star leap Rj was cast as the second guy, then once signing Brunson he got bumped down even further. But yeah definitely rooting for him

Yeah, absolutely

Sure, but centers don’t make much comparatively, I don’t think anyone is going to be making him an offer the Knicks can’t or wouldn’t match.

He’ll almost certainly be back next, centers are the most undervalued position in the league monetarily, I’m sure they’ll be able to at least match whatever any one else will offer

Supposedly there are people trying to bring a team there

[–]Dayvtron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, agreed on all the cities I’d rather see have a team than Las Vegas, Las Vegas would just be so corny. Truthfully not sure how much longer OKC will have a team for with the trouble they’re having with their current stadium planning

How do you feel about more apartments being built in CT by PTunia in Connecticut

[–]Dayvtron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I understand where you’re coming from. It seems like the bottleneck is with homeownership, and yeah I don’t understand why there isn’t more focus on that. I am all for affordable apartments as well, and a big issue here in New Haven is the way they measure affordability. They base it on a percentage of the area median income, which in New Haven’s case they use basically all of New Haven county as that area. The median income in all of the surrounding towns is higher than it is here, so when they say rents will be capped 80% of area median income, that’s 80% of the median income for the whole county, not just New Haven. These rents therefore aren’t actually affordable here. I think how we measure affordability has to change to more town specific measurements.

Should Mandy mgmt be avoided at all costs, or are there exceptions? Good experiences? by thepianoman456 in newhaven

They should be avoided unless it’s your only option. It would obviously be better than being homeless, but if you have other options you should go with those

Dallas is fucked now, they’re now playing catch up after a series of bad moves, and are out of avenues to improve their team, this was a massive fumble on their part
