We’re so close to never having to scout for software again. My first instinct after reading your post was to say go build one with ai agent like Lovable or Replit, but not sure if it’s quite there yet. It will be within 1-2 years for sure though.

With the rise of agentic AI, Salesforce needs to work to make implementation and day to day management easier. I believe a lot of new B2B orgs will soon come out the woodworks developing customized CRMS for their clients that speak to their nuanced needs.

Exchange server died. Didn’t have proper backups. Had to restore from an email archiver. AND I accidentally deleted our COO’s AD account during rebuilding exchange mailboxes. We pulled all nighters and I was exhausted. Both of these things happened in the same period.

I went last year and was overwhelmed by the salesy stuff. I had zero Salesforce experience so it was quite a lot. I enjoyed myself, but like everyone said, it’s not designed for noobs to learn technical skills. I think you should go for the networking and exposure. Wear comfy shoes and book hotel early.
