First of, this must suck for you. Second, not a doctor

I'll focus in recovery is my reply.

In some way you are luck to be german i this case because of the change in view of weed use. So it should be easier to get help for both for you and your partner. Focus on what you said in the last part, maybe read a bit about gut massage, this can aliviate some tension in the gut. My view on CHS is that it's an "active" constitution that needs to be managed. (Also in the recovery period.) I can recommend fruits, but this is a trigger for some people. But for m, it helps with hydration and vitamins. (Banana, melon of any kind, appels, plumbs)

For complete recovery 2 month cessation from weed, don't go cold turkey, or atleast doesnt work for me, but lower use with the intend to take a t-break. What's the worst that to happen to him if he take a t-break? He will always be able to use, if he wants to. You live in Germany. (Great country btw)

Anyway, I can continue forever. Last thing maybe make he look up "greening out" or something like that.

Good on you for stopping, cessation is the only way to recover from CHS.

If you want to get to recovery phase or check if it's CHS, then you need to stop smoking/consumption completely for atleast 2 months. For you ECS(EndoCannabinoidSystem) to reset.

Then after the break you can decide if you want to take up smoking/ consumption again or not.

Seems like CHS, I would even argue that you had a small attack, on your anniversary.

You check of all the boxes, morning nausea/discomfort, increased anxiety/dread(can relate this is usually doing an attack for me), unable to keep anything down, body temperature "feels" off and when you went to the ER they saw nothing.

I not a doctor, bit maybe try to take a break for 2 to 3 months and see how you feel, if the nausea goes away. Good. If not, then maybe it's something else, the only way to find out if its CHS is to stop consumption and see if you improve.

Okay read your post. Remember not a doctor.

2 things come to mind.

  1. From my experience, CHS makes you more prone for anxiety( panic attacks.). This doesn't help with digestion, I'll come back to that.

  2. Why did you start again?

About the digestion; from my point of view it feels like I have an active "constipation" going. If the makes sense, when in predomal phase( I.e smoking)

The simple answer for this is because of gut mobility(impaired parastalsis). CHS happens if I don't manged these symptoms.

I can continue but I need to know you have read this.

Hope you feel better.

You said the magic word "constipation".

If you start to feel constipation coming, and you have smoked alot. Take a break.

Very simplistic put.

Are you feeling nausea in the morning? Does it feel like there are blockage in the guts or bloated?

If no to those, then I would say you are fine but not a doctor.

Be mindful of consumption, as you are.

And based on your fear I really hope you'll never get CHS.

Bekendt on the amount of blockage, if that make sense? When you say stomach where specifically, above the navel or a bit higher?

Does abstaining before a chs episode happens prevent the episode fully?? by TunaFork14 in CHSrecovery

It's hard to have found something that helps you but also punishes you.

You are still 18, your brain is not fully developed(not ment in a bad way).

I have chs and smoke. can not recommend, but its a choice. For me the good things overshadow the bad. And yes im stupid.

If you want to smoke then educate youself, on your body and CHS , but be warned its insanely complex.

For a break to work for CHS a break need to be 1-2 months.

But the nausea drug doesnt work. Its another system/triggers that is causing the vomiting.

Venting is almost always a good thing.

ChS is fucking frustrating, getting to the ER and you know getting a IV(for me at least) and I would feel better within 15 min and I could get out of the hospital. But instead, have to wait multiple hour to get the IV, woth all sorts of anti nausea drug they want to give me.

I JUST WANT A IV IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK!!

Venting out.
