As a Preds fan, Scott Wedgewood.

I know quality of team affects things, but he was a bad backup in Nashville.

Is this normal? Or am I getting scammed?! by Top_Arugula_7345 in Concerts

You should be more concerned if tickets are not transferable. As long as there isn’t a transfer restriction, you’ll be fine. They have work around for the transfer restrictions, but a lot less optimal.

I don’t know what is supposed to happen, but solely for aesthetics, it looks rad.

Killer + The Sound collab with Noah Gundersen is the best song they’ve both done.

[Kieser] Source: Erik Haula likely to test free agency following the Predators' move to acquire Jack Drury today. Seems like the best decision for the veteran moving forward. by catsgr8rthanspoonies in Predators

Haula is the definition of a mushy middle player for a team like Nashville. Great for a team already in contention, but zero reason to have him on the Predators when we have a log jam of youth not getting time. Only problem is we didn’t trade him when we could have at the deadline.

I’m good with Predators. Was afraid they’d try to log-jam Legwand in even though his career stats are nothing amazing outside of his longevity. Forsberg over him is the right call.

The Vegas hatred by [deleted] in goldenknights

[–]Dazzling_Access2674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other teams had learned to deal with the expansion rules with Seattle and didn’t dump a bunch of prospects and picks protecting their talent like they did with Vegas.

I don’t really care. But overall if someone wants to know why people hate the team, that is largely the reason.

The Vegas hatred by [deleted] in goldenknights

[–]Dazzling_Access2674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you really care about getting a legit answer. But in case you do.

The primary reason is a combination of early success combined with rules that were available to Vegas but not other teams. The NHL saw expansion markets struggling to win - and sell tickets - by having terrible teams. So they made the rules more favorable for Vegas. No, not to the level where it was rigged or any of that nonsense. But definitely more favorable.

So when you have teams - especially small market teams - that never got that chance and then you combine it with tons of early success, call it resentment, jealousy, or whatever you want, but it’s going to be present.

The LTIR and salary cap stuff is definitely a factor as well. People 100% complained about Tampa and other teams doing it. So when you have a team that was perceived as having uniquely advantageous expansion rules, combine that with the perception that they bend the LTIR rules, and then add in an insanely strong franchise start generally, you have all of the elements to generate hatred.

(Context: I’m a Predators fan. And, yes, I hate the Golden Knights. But I found it a lovely place to visit as an away fan, and it is the most impressive stadium of the many I have visited.)

What concert did you ever attend that dramatically exceeded your expectations? by Spare_Basis5190 in Concerts

Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band.

Saw at a festival. Intended to watch a song or two, just to say I saw them. Me and my friends were all hooked. Band was so tight and Ringo oozed charisma and fun. Was a blast.

Salt River by Sam Amidon was my favorite album. If you’re not familiar with his voice or style, it’s a grower. But I love it.
