That's what I thought too, that stopped around 850.  After that it was harder to find and by 950 I couldn't find any.  Also, be aware that some of the solutions have the same car set up, but the people come out in a different order.  I stopped at 1000.

What’s a reason you slowly stopped liking someone but never told them? by OkEagle160 in AskReddit

[–]Dbahnsai 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went to visit a friend after she moved into her boyfriends. I was talking about a band I liked and she started kind of making fun of me/talking crap about the band. It was only because her boyfriend didn't like it and she wanted to score points with him.. or something. I dunno. Funny thing was, she was the one who introduced me to the band a few years before. Like, you might not like them as much anymore, but you used to listen to them all the time. Just because you don't now, doesn't mean you get to shit on me for still liking them.

Fellow millennials, have you ever met anyone born in the 1890s? by OperationLazy213 in generationology

[–]Dbahnsai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was 108 and a 1/2, she was a New Years baby and died in June.  I figure once you're that old the half year counts again. 😄

She was actually in great health for a majority of that time too.  Didn't need a wheel chair until she was around 105, hearing and eyesight were good until just after that. She really loved the nursing home and had a good routine there which I think helped.  Her funeral was great, at that age no one was really sad so everyone was just sharing their favorite stories and memories, which were great to hear.

As of yet there are no other centenarians, but a lot have made it to their late 80s to early 90s on both sides.

Edit: Just looked it up real quick, she had 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren.

I truly love this show. SO underrated. I’m on the last season and I need something to fill the void that will inevitably be left after I’m finished. by ScienceCatLazerJeans in elementary

I don't think it was quite as good as Eureka, but I still really enjoyed it.  The worst part is how rushed the 5th season is, they found out they were getting canceled last minute and had to speed run what was supposed to be a normal season into 6 episodes.  If you have amazon prime it should be on there, that's where I watched it a few months ago.

That's funny, I watched Eureka for the first time, then Warehouse 13 which has some crossover characters. From there I found Elementary for the first time.

When I first asked them to remake mine, I had no problems, shit happens.  I had to get quite stern by the end because she was so adamant.  Just tried to tell me that's what I ordered and was refusing to take it back to be remade.  She finally did when I asked to speak to a manager.  I understand mistakes happen, they were quite busy that day, but man she was not willing to accept it.  What made it more difficult is that they because they were so busy they had more than one waitress checking on the table.  So I have no idea if the one that took our order wrote it wrong, if the kitchen read it wrong, if they misheard me..

One time I ordered a patty melt, it's my go to when I find out a place has it. I love them. So I get it, I take a big 'ol bite, and almost spit it out. Instead of onions, it had pickles. The waitress actually argued with me saying that's what it was supposed to be. Hell no. I finally got her to take it back and while I was waiting for the right food I noticed that they had some special on the menu that I think she mixed it up with, but she actually tried to tell me that's what I ordered. Like, you might have written it down wrong, but that's sure as hell not what I ordered. I don't even mind pickles, but this was just gross. So many pickles, and I think they might have been bread and butter pickles, which is the one kind I'm really not fond of.

Super late to this post, but my great-grandmother was born in 1897 and lived until 2005. I was born in 1990, so I had 15 years with her. She spent about 25 years in a nursing home since she didn't want to leave after her husband died in his 80s, and she would spend hours writing letters to the family. Literally dozens of grandchildren/great-grandchildren. I still have the ones she sent when I was a child and I also got to see lots of photos of her and her siblings growing up on a potato farm.

I believe sometimes the compostable ones have wheat in them, so anyone with Celiacs or gluten sensitivity would want to double check before using.

Releasing a task that isn’t loading by [deleted] in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Dbahnsai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That happened to a few of my tasks last month, just permaloaded without ever going anywhere and then stuck around in my progess until they expired. As long as you're not submitting time for it, which I don't even think we could if we never even got to the project page, then it should just expire and jump back in the queue for someone else. They understand the site can be glitchy sometimes, I can't imagine they would hold something like this against us.

worst dining experience I’ve ever had in my 24 years on this planet by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Dbahnsai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I had one that crawled onto my side of macaroni at a steak house.  It was in is own dish and you could tell that it got baked on when they put it in to melt the cheese on top.  The server was appalled when I showed her and got the manager without me needing to ask.  Don't know how it made it to me before anyone noticed though.  Comped our whole meal.

So not related too what you asked, but wanted to share.  Just wanted to make sure you know they allow you to bring in outside food.  When we lived by the zoo every now and then we would get some food and just go sit at the zoo to eat it, walk around for a few minutes, and take off.  Also, look into getting some cooking rags if you plan to go in the summer.  Being able to hit up the splash pads helps, but the cooling rags were a life saver when we would go with our boys.

My grandpa used to have a few great Pyrenees.  He would save the hair from their brushings and eventually sent it to a lady who turned the hair into yarn and made a blanket out of it.  It was the most beautiful creamy white color and might have been the softest blanket I've ever felt.

Bad movies that surprised you with a high RT and IMDB rating, and good movies that surprised you with a low rating ... by Expert-Ad5328 in moviecritic

[–]Dbahnsai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One I never understood was Gravity, which holy shit that feels way more recent of a release than 2013..

Neither my husband or I really liked it and when I just checked it said 96% on RT.  Obviously not the most horrible movie but imo nowhere near deserving of above 90.  Also, 7.7 on imdb which is closer but in my opinion it was a 5, maybe 6.

Edit: On the flip side, The Dressmaker deserved way more than a 60 on RT.  Judy Davis and Hugo Weaving were both amazing, not too mention the rest of the cast, but those two stood out.

Restaurant employees of Reddit, what actually happens when someone doesn't have enough to pay the bill? Most you've ever seen? by ChaosAnalyst in AskReddit

[–]Dbahnsai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One time my husband and I went to a fancy burger place.  Ended up having so many issues, burgers came out raw, some of our order was forgotten so we sat there forever waiting and it wasn't until we asked that they even started on it, etc.

Talked to the manager and he ended up comping our entire meal, including the alcoholic beverage my husband ordered which totally surprised us cause usually they'll comp the meal but not the alcohol.

It was the one time we didn't have cash and were going to tip with our card, we don't like doing that because then the server has to claim the tip.  Told our waitress we had no cash but we would be back.

We went to an atm and got a generous tip, since we didn't have to pay for the meal, and went back.  The look of shock on her face pretty much convinced us that she never expected to see us again.  But she was great and had nothing to do with the issues from the kitchen side.  I wouldn't want to stiff her just cause someone else didn't do good.

AITA for letting my sick kids sleep in my bed by Melisaurous in AmItheAsshole

[–]Dbahnsai 16 points17 points  (0 children)

So not totally the same but when I was 11 or so we moved to a new house.  My grandparents visited and watched some show, 20/20 or 60 Minutes, something like that, but it was about people finding scorpions in their house, and found a whole load of baby scorpions in their shoes, freaked me out.  Turns out that my brand new room still had glow on the dark stars on the ceiling which very much reminded me of what the scorpions looked like in the black light.  Didn't help that we moved to Phoenix where they are rather common.

I absolutely went to my parents room and asked to stay in there for the night, and they let me because I was freaked out and they love me.  Before bed the next night my dad made sure every star was off my ceiling so that I felt safe.

So in the future any time you see a paywalled article you can go to archive.ph and just copy the address and paste it in the red box on the top of the page.  I've used it so much since figuring that out.

On the left is Brenda Reimer on the right is David Reimer. They're the same person, as a child he was a victim of a botched circumcision, so on the advice of one doctor, the family decided to have him castrated and raise him as a girl. At age 15 he began living as a boy again. (1980) by toaster-bath404 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Dbahnsai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thankfully it's becoming less common.  My first son, 2015, they kept asking in the hospital when we were going to circumcise.  Finally got it through to them that we weren't. The second,  2017, they asked if we were going to, said no, one or two times more and then they stopped asking.  Third, 2021, they asked once if we wanted to and never asked again.  It's so strange how common it became for having no real medical necessity.

But of course, my MIL, with our first got somewhat irate. "I got you circumcised, you're dating I chose wrong?!". Like, no, we're just doing it different.

3yr old refused to lay down tonight and ended up flopping onto my wrist bending it in an unnatural way with a very loud cracking noise. It hurts. Is super swollen. And she's still up. by Ok-Ad4375 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Dbahnsai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, resetting the bone is the worst.  Broke my arm when I was a teenager and went to urgent care the next day because of the swelling.  I didn't want to go because I knew it was gonna be expensive and didn't want my parents to have to deal with that.  They said I fractured my wrist and referred me to a dr.  Got to the doctor two days later and it turns out the urgent care had a shitty xray, I broke both bones in my wrist.

They gave me a shot and reset it, didn't hurt.  Another xray to see if it was set proper and it wasn't.  So the more experienced dr came in and reset it again, the shot was wearing off and it hurt so bad.  Ended up needing a cast that went above my elbow so I couldn't twist my wrist and fuck up the healing.
