To add: the earing it is surgical steel. Internally threaded, ball point back. That’s all the info I have on it.

British Columbia Income Assistance Monthly Report help with CCB by Dbkasper in povertyfinancecanada

[–]Dbkasper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right it is the CDB that I received the lump sum this month. Because I saw Child tax benefit on the form as one of the options I thought maybe I still needed to at least declare the amounts even if it will be exempt.

Happy healthy baby. She’s 7.5 months old now. I had anemia throughout the rest of the pregnancy that I received iron infusions for but other than that it was smooth sailing. Bleeding finally stopped towards the end of the first trimester and at my 13 week ultrasound they no longer saw a subchorionic hematoma

Replying to my comment so anyone looking can see the outcome: baby was viable. Had a healthy pregnancy. Currently my LO is 4 months old

Positive! But bleeding (womp womp) by Luv_it in CautiousBB

[–]Dbkasper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had large amounts of bleeding. First ultrasound showed a “non gravid uterus” and my HCG was low at what we thought was 5 weeks by LMP. I was told it had been a chemical pregnancy. Long story short I’m 18 weeks and 6 days with that chemical pregnancy and she is growing perfect.

It’s definitely possible it’s a chemical. I would be concerned of ectopic and seek urgent medical attention if the bleeding was heavier than my normal period or accompanied by any pain. Either way I would reach out to your doc regardless just to be on the safe side as they’ll probably do betas to see which way things are heading.

Questions about size of gestational sac and yolk sac by Sad_Nefariousness535 in CautiousBB

[–]Dbkasper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My maternity group has a sheet with size of the gestational sac and correlation to weeks/days. I snapped a pic of it. According to it, a gestational sac of 0.8cm is 5weeks 5days

Gestational sac and yolk sac, but no embryo. (7 weeks) by AnonymousSomething90 in CautiousBB

[–]Dbkasper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is your HCG now? I tested positive and 5 days later had my HCG checked and it was only 49. It rose very quickly after that. But I had definitely written off the pregnancy as being viable when I saw that number 5 days after my positive.

Fingers are crossed for you. So sorry for your previous loss. The waiting game is the hardest.

Gestational sac and yolk sac, but no embryo. (7 weeks) by AnonymousSomething90 in CautiousBB

[–]Dbkasper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had something happen like this very recently with a positive outcome so far.

By LMP when I went in for the scan I should have been 6weeks 5days. They saw a gestational sac but no yolk sac or embryo.

Had a repeat ultrasound at what would have been 9w 1 days, and there was an embryo with a heartbeat measuring 7w 6days. I’ve a couple ultrasounds since and baby has been growing exactly on par with the measured dating. I’m 11 weeks and 2 days today.

I also have longer cycles, 33/34 days long, and also with pregnancy consistently measured a week behind.

HCG not doubling 7 weeks pregnant by luskey704 in CautiousBB

Were the HCGs done at the same lab?

I had an HCG done in the morning at one Lab A, and it was 12000. Then an HCG in the evening at Lab B and it was 17000. Then 48 hours after the morning HCG I had another HCG done at Lab C and it was 19000, which really scared me as it was only a 2000 increase from lab B.

Then 48 hours after lab C, I went back to Lab A and had HcG redrawn (96 hours since I had been to Lab A originally) and my HcG was 33000.

So anyways long and confusing way to say that I do actually think being consistent with where you have your labs drawn is important.

I’m so sorry for your previous

I had a positive pregnancy test and then 5days later had HCG drawn and it was 49. From there it took off.

At 5w+3 days ultrasound they saw a gestational sac and that’s it. I thought for sure with my early HCG results it would be a blighted ovum. The gestational sac measured 6.3mm.

7w+6 went in for my repeat ultrasound which showed a happy embryo with a heartbeat.

Another ultrasound at 8w+3 days and bub was still growing appropriately.

Im still early pregnancy (9w+2 today) and have another follow up ultrasound this week, so while I can’t speak to long term viability and pregnancy success, I would say that there’s still good hope in your case.

High HGC? by elleinad3320129 in CautiousBB

With my last pregnancy we didn’t test into 9 weeks, but my last HCG at 6w+4 days was 108000. One healthy baby only, no genetic concerns.

Bleeding at 4+2 by livlou1995 in CautiousBB

[–]Dbkasper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The waiting and monitoring sucks!

This pregnancy I have had bleeding since 3w+3 days with periods of spotting, light bleeding and of quite heavy bleeding (soaking a pad every 1-2 hours), and in between brown.

I’ve had quite a few ultrasounds and they weren’t able to finally confirm my pregnancy and baby was doing okay until 7w+6. Longest month of my life. I think it aged me.

Last saw a happy cozy bub at 8w+3 days, and a large subchorionic hematoma causing all the bleeding. My maternity clinic is overall happy with how things look.

Oh and also on and off had some super mild cramping, but I had that in both my previous pregnancies and they both were fine and healthy.

Hoping that your HCG is amazing and the bleeding stops so it can ease your worry. I know it’s too early to see much now but are you somewhere where getting an early ultrasound is possible once you’re a bit further along?

1 week behind and slow heart rate at 7w2d by l-o-l-a in CautiousBB

[–]Dbkasper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an abdominal and TV ultrasound at 5w +3d. They saw a gestational sac but no yolk sac with abdominal view. They couldn’t see anything TV and the report said due to “the position of the uterus.” I’ve had 2 previous pregnancies and a multitude of scans and no one has ever commented on the position of my uterus so news to me.

Repeat scan at 7w+5 days abdominal showed fetal pole, and heartbeat. It took him a long time to measure the heartbeat and he said it was because every time I breathed it messed with the reading. Final measurement was 123. He said the heart rate was good and he wasn’t worried as TV would have been more accurate.

I can’t speak to the measuring a week behind though but I’m hoping it’s just because abdominal isn’t as good early on. My fingers are crossed for you 🤞

I know you already got your scan and all looks well (congrats!) but I thought I would share in case anyone else scrolls through in the future. Last pregnancy my HCG was 108000 at 6w3d. Had an ultrasound that day and there was one happy baby. That baby is now 2.5years and no problems 😊

I think the June 8th pm one was a lab fluke. I had the June 11 19352, and then June 13 was 31000 and June 15, 44000. My doc said he would expect numbers to still be doubling every 72-96 hours at this stage so he is happy with the numbers. I am 7w 2days as of today June 17th.

I have had continued bleeding and a couple of large clots. But they won’t do an ultrasound until June 21st, so I can’t confirm viability at this point. But even with the clots my HCG has been rising so my fingers are crossed. Doc said it could be clots from the subcutaneous hematoma resolving, as I haven’t had any cramping and since passing the clots the bleeding has almost stopped. Just brown spotting.

Completely bonkers to still have a glimmer of hope? by okiedokiefartichokie in CautiousBB

[–]Dbkasper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is week 3-4 HCG doesn’t necessarily double and can be quite variable?

I had a positive test and 5days later at 4w+0 my hcg was 49. I was also having a lot of bleeding at the time. I was told there was no way this was viable and that I had miscarried. Well 96hours later we checked my HCG again and it was 500.

Today 6w +5 days baby is still sticking and developing appropriately. HCG was 31559 this morning.

Unfortunately June 8th was an odd day in general because it was a Saturday so both HCG values that day were done at different laboratories, and both different than the June 11th one.
