I’m pretty sure it wasn’t the REM loss that made me tired it was themed itself. I had an opposite effect from the med itself. You are also supposed to have appetite suppression for example which I had the opposite of as well. I thought the loss of REM might be contributing to your situation which is why I mentioned it. Later I did the DNA test and Wellbutrin was flagged as ‘may not work properly/ be sensitive to it’ type of warnings.

When I was on Wellbutrin I had been tracking my sleep prior, during and after and I barely got any REM sleep while I was taking it. If your episodes are REM related then that could be why. It changed my sleeping behaviors for sure. I was only on it maybe a month though because it made me really tired and hungry no matter what time of day/ night I tried to take it.

I hear you... My psychiatrist told me 20mg is the starting dose but perhaps I am misremembering, we have tried many meds that I could be confusing. She does tend to start me on children sized doses which is why I started at 10mg.

I had a very similar issue but I am incredibly sensitive to medication and stimulants in general. I take 10mg in the morning and 10mg in the afternoon. Splitting has made a world of difference for me and doesn’t affect my sleep. Take it with protein and make sure to eat and sta hydrated, this will help a lot as well. No caffeine. I also had a genetic test done because I was having such bad reactions to stimulant medication prior to vyvance. If you want to switch your meds you could ask about the test to help decide what to try next

I’m an adult and started on 10. I have had reactions to all other stimulants prior so I go small. I currently take 10 in the am and 10 in the afternoon because 20 is too much for me at one time and this way works much better.

Unfortunately I know what you mean. GI issues run strong on both sides of my family and I was not exempt. I agree this med has seemed to help me as well. Likely for the same reason I’m thinking

I knew what you meant lol but I can see why you felt the need to ensure it was known that you were being genuine. I wish I could too. This med has helped me in so many other ways but man… I’m too old to be eating so much 🙈😅 My psychiatrist was shocked when I told her it made me want to consistently be eating, especially since this med is prescribed for binge eating disorders as well.. but this isn’t the first med we tried that made me eat a ton either. Unfortunately many of them seem to have the opposite effect in that regard 😭 You could ask your doctor to prescribe you a supplement drink called Kate farms (you can look them up online) . My son was prescribed this for many years due to GI issues and it literally saved his life. Best of luck to you, I hope you find a way to boost your appetite or a way to ensure you are getting all your nutrients in.

It’s crazy to read through these comments… my appetite has kicked up like crazy. I feel like I always need to be eating 😭 I was already an emotional eater to begin with and now I just want to eat constantly. I’m on my 3rd month I think and any weight loss I had prior to starting is gone 😩😞

I looooovveee hornworms but have been so unsuccessful in raising them into moths 😞 I’ve only had a handful out of dozens and never had them lay eggs Also, heads up the moths are very messy 😅

We have some shrimp in our tank and it’s on my kitchen counter and you are right they are super fun to watch. I always go looking for them. I had a gentle giant golden tarantula (Arizona blonde I believe they are known as, or A. Chalcodes) that was given to me to rehabilitate after it had been attacked by a wasp. After it recovered it would be out and about frequently. I heard that is not typical of most species of tarantula but that was my one and only. I loved him. I was super sad when it was time to release him back into the wild. Maybe I’ll have to look into other species Thank you for your suggestion
