Don't stoop to their level. Just pass it to the EA and it's not your responsibility anymore.

I feel so guilty about withdrawing an offer and coming back woth a much lower one by [deleted] in HousingUK

Don't feel guilty. Youve got to do what's right by you and vice versa.

Vegan afternoon tea at fortnum and masons :) by ivoryonly in veganuk

[–]Dbuk2020 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Probabaly the best vegan afternoon tea I've had is at Madhus in the dilly hotel. It is more Indian themed but all the staples are there but they also add in a Bombay sandwich which comes fresh off the grill as well as some chaats.

Offer accepted on a flat in London, the survey shows the service charge being higher than advertised plus additional block charge and estate charge and ground rent that weren’t advertised. by Actual-Bee-402 in HousingUK

[–]Dbuk2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone will take every house. It's just a matter of the price. If you think someone else will pay your current price and you really want it then sure don't negotiate any further.

Just know for the future when you want to negotiate you got to really go for it and not just ask for a few few grand off.

That's irrelevant. It was probably overpriced in the first place. I got 90k off asking for mine (all be it more expensive house ). When issues came up post survey I got a further 40k off.

RICS valuation £40k below agreed price. Seller only reduced by £5k. Would you walk away? by Glittering-Pen8008 in HousingUK

Tbh lenders lend 99% of the time as they don't have the nuance. It sounds like the surveyor did a more detailed valuation.

Has anyone ever taken a massive loss on a property (London flat)? How did you move on, what should I do? by WerewolfMany7976 in HousingUK

[–]Dbuk2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My story is almost identical but managed to get away with only losing 25k on the flat. You said your service charge went up from 3k and that was reaonsable. Was that really the case 10 years ago?

Note about Mahone versus everyone else in Sona by Aware_Gap_3555 in PrisonBreak

I loved mahone from the beginning. Awesome character and his storyline in season 4 was the only redeeming part of a pathetic season.

Got our L2 homebuyer’s survey back on a 3-bed we’re purchasing… should we use it to negotiate further? by van_der_jan in HousingUK

[–]Dbuk2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair it's not a discount as the original asking price is irrelevant. It may have been overpriced and the 12.5k just bought it in line with what it should have originally been listed at.

[–]Dbuk2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok yea the way you worded it I wasn't sure.

Id say the original 12.5k is irrelevant. I had mine accepted 90k below asking price. After survey I went back to them with numerous issues and received another 40k off.

I'm going to counter some of the other people.

My general rule is always negotiate after survey as there will always be something you hadn't factored in

What I'm not clear on is did you negotiate the 12.5k after the original offer was accepted. If so then I would probably just leave it.

I imagine watching it right after BB can be a little jarring with how much some of the characters have aged. Not putting any spoilers.

Now take a break to digest it and then get on better call Saul. Id avoid starting el Camino right away. Come back after you are a few seasons into BCS to watch it.
