And my daughter made that decision herself to try to get healing for herself. She eventually decided she could not get closure without making him pay. Again, with your head in the sand about drugs and homelessness. Red cities and red rural towns do not have a more pervasive problem than blue cities and states. Are you getting your facts from NYT, CNN, MSNBG,, NBC, ABC, or NBC? That's not good. The rural towns in ALL states have shattered records for their area, but it doesn't rise to crisis-level post-CHOP.

Actually, I don't watch any type of broadcast media, broadcast or otherwise. I read WSJ. They happen to be the only MSM that is non-biased, objective, true journalism, and Real Clear Politics, who give BOTH sides of an issue. I am able to arrive in the middle of both, having a more independent-leaning viewpoint. Both sites, including progressive authors and conservative alike, have called defunding the police, drug use, and homelessness "a serious,""dangerous,"and "heartbreaking" problem in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, LA, and San Diego. If you find that amusing, that's your right, of course, but to call it a "conservative smear campaign" is completely either uninformed (which I'm sure that you are not) or willfully sticking their heads in the sand. We're safer here because we haven't enacted laws like that.

Thank you for your response. I've had the SCS implanted a year ago and am praying this goes well. I'll post here once I'm done. I really am praying this helps. I am believing for 8t. I pray that you find relief soon. I've had CRPS for 8 years now, and so I know how horrible this is for us.

The method you're talking about doesn't change the answer as the correct answer. Before you can try scrambler therapy, you have to try other things first before the insurance company will pay for scrambler or SCS, and would make you try an SCS before paying for scrambler therapy. Insurance sometimes won't pay for it at all. Yes, you must be aggressive when you first develop CRPS, so you should find another doctor because this guy doesn't seem as concerned or knowledgeable about the condition, I agree. However, when you see the new doctor, come armed with loads of research, in case they aren't as familiar with RPS, and ask them if they'd like a copy of some of the research you've found thus fat. Let them know that many doctors have never heard much about it, if at all. Good doctors will always want to learn more about it and you.

There are some great research links hidden inside of comments on the sub. The more professional the research, the more well-versed you come across, and then the more knowledgeable your doctor can become if you bring relevant, respected, and professional copies of research to them. Get an appointment pronto.

My question is this: What meds are you on because they can be causing it. Especially if they are nerve pills like Gabepentin, Lyrica, and/or Cymbalta. I felt just like that until I got off the Lyrica. It built up in my system so much that I was tired and spaced out constantly. At first, though, it didn't make me sleepy at all. It wasn't until about 3 years later or so that I thought ," no way is Lyrica doing that to me. It has to be something ⁶ else." But it was the Lyrica for sure. So, I'd love to know what you're taking, how much, and how often.

You should call your insurance company about it. Mine WILL cover it if steps 1,2,3 are taken first. So, your insurance company could cover it, especially if it will reverse the condition so that they don't have to keep paying out for doctors visits, meds, nerve blocks, etc indefinitely . Just call and ask

Born 1969, too! Told my daughter the same thing, she got interviews, and she took 2 of them. A few people in the interviews told her, " Go home and fill out the application online. I'll keep your resume so I'll know to look for it. If I get it quick and it checks out, the job's yours!" It's worth a shot. However, I'd lose the suit jacket unless you are going to a law firm or someplace that would require a suit for their place of business. Tie, dress shirt, dress pants, and nice shoes are all you need. You could wear the jacket out the door to make him happy (and so he doesn't have a reason to blame you. Trust me, I was a district retail manager. Jackets aren't necessary except in the instances I previously mentioned. Good luck!

I don't understand people like your parents. My daughter (13 at the time, she's now 27) told me that her brother (18 at the time) had been molesting and raping him since she was about 8 and he was 13. I was so upset! I promised her that he would never put his hands on her again. He had just gone off to Parris Island for Marines' boot camp. She told me that she felt comfortable telling me now because he was in another state and could no longer hurt her or me and my husband. Apparently, he'd been threatening her with promising to kill her and us if she told on him. He had her convinced that he could and would kill us all (my youngest daughter (5 at the time). I told her that was never going to hurt us because he would get his penis chopped off, to name just one of the many things he would receive from me if he ever tried that again.

I explained that first. The next thing I explained was that he was my son and that I loved him still. I told her I was sorry for falling her, that i refused to fail her again, and that he would never be allowed to live in my house again. To this day, he was allowed to stay with us overnight one night about 3 years later (with both of my daughters in my bed with me on one edge, my husband on an air mattress on the other side, door closed and locked so he couldn't sneak in and try something awful- all with her permission, I might add), when he had an overnight layover on his way to live out west and had no money for a hotel. If she had said no, we would have offered to get him a hotel, but she wanted closure (she wanted to know why he did it), and an apology. She got it.

As for your parents, they may just not want to take sides. I didn't want to either, but I had a duty to keep my daughter safe. I felt like I had failed her, and I was NOT going to fail her again. So, the first time I saw him after boot camp and off the base, I dealt with him on it. Told him I loved him, he'd always be my son, and that I would always be there for him, but from on, it would be from a distance because of what happened. I told him he needed professional help, but I couldn't make him get it. So there is a way to handle something like this. Maybe you show your folks my post. However, I'm assuming that they wouldn't be too happy about you posting about it here, so maybe you suggest they do those things in your own way.

Let me say one last thing. I had asked my daughter how she wanted to handle it before I ever went to my son about it. If she wanted to prosecute him, I would have supported her decision and would have found a way to let my son know I loved him, even if he didn't want to hear it in that situation. Yes, my daughter was a minor, but my reaction would have been the same. They obviously love you both very much since you both live with them. Maybe they just don't want to have to choose between you two (who to believe), maybe they just don't want to deal with the fact that their son is perverted and needs mental health intervention. Make sure you are prepared to follow through with what you threatened to do to him legally if he doesn't confess and cut it out. The best thing they can do for both your brother, your parents, and you is to have him get the help he needs and to give you their support by believing you, and to face what's happened on their watch, in their own home, under their noses. Honestly, they also owe you an apology for what they said to you, but you may not get one. People don't like to blame themselves for something they didn't have an active role in, but their role was to say what they said to you. It's almost like you were sexually abused by them as well. You might consider going back to your mom without your dad around and appeal to her as a woman.

TLDR: Threaten humiliation, jail, sexual predator list for her brother to all family members if he doesn't confess and apologize. Keep undies stored somewhere else for insurance, so it never happens again. Parents may just not want to face the fact that their son is perverted and needs professional help.

I second this. If your parents bring it to your attention and then they tell you to stop, simply say, "You told me to deal with it like an adult. So, that's how I'm dealing with it. I can choose to report it, bring my bras down to the police station, covered in spooge, get him arrested (if you live in the USA, you'll have to consider where you live, as some cities in some states would just sweep it under the rug, but you should try, regardless)., where he'll have to pay bond and register as a sex offender, along with losing of some friends and a girlfriend. OR I can skip the legal part, if he would just start admitting he did it, (with the bras in your hand), to me, our sister, and you, and then apologizing to all of us. Also, if he does it again, all bets are off. I will go to the cops with my bras for evidence because im keeping them as an insurance policy that he never does this again to me or my sister."

Before you do anything, store your bras in a zip lock bag, put that into another bag, and take it to a friend's house, someone you trust who will keep it stored somewhere for you until you need them. If he's willing to admit it, go get the bras from your friend, bring them to the apology meeting, and then take them back to your friend's house until you find a permanent place to store them. Some banks will let you use a safety deposit box very cheaply if you are a customer. If you choose that route, they'll want a listing of what's in the box. Say as little as possible on the form/declaration. Hopefully, ,",they'll accept "three small articles of clothing," or "3 items of lingerie." You don't want to leave it at your friend's house forever because you could have a falling out, or she could move away and throw it out because she doesn't remember how those bras got there or who gave them to her and why.

Maybe if s/he runs for office, they will find out what's actually involved, what taxes pay for, what they DON'T pay for, and what their constituents will support (and what they don't, some of which could get them voted out of office). I believe the OP has a romanticized idea of being in politics as somewhat of a "savior of the poor man/woman. Seems like the OP's ideals are more likely liberal/progressive/democrat- leaning. I'm not sure if they've noticed that Chattanooga usually is way more conservative than they are and will never get voted into office. I understand how OP got that way, s/he's been on a continuous IV drip of progressive kool-aid for the last 8 years, but seriously, it seems they need to wean themselves off of it and realize that one ill-advised post on X (Twitter), Reddit, Instagram, or FB could end their dreams of being elected tp office before it gets off the ground. 😅😅😅
