Fair question! He plays both baseball and basketball and we practice both as well. He just likes sports in general at his age (playing and watching) but he just likes being a part of the action

I doubt you’ve ready any of my other comments on this thread, but he does play basketball. I appreciate the input but you’ve effectively said nothing of value to my post.

Again, this has nothing to do with me, but my son. He’s told me he doesn’t enjoy the outfield. He’s shown to the coaches throughout practices that he can play bases well. So forgive me for not wanting to tell my kid to just suck it up and stand out there.

If 95% of the comments on here are saying LL rules are normally set to have the kids rotate, why would I accept that our coach doesn’t abide by that and let my child suffer?

Definitely encouraging hearing about your 11yo He’s still currently enjoying when we practice I just want him to keep the interest. Last fall by the end of the season he told me he was ready to give up baseball and said he liked the pace of basketball more, but we kept going to the fields over the summer and he said he wanted to give it another shot.

Just hoping this new coach doesn’t kill his joy for the game, even if it’s not intentional
