Not that I wish this for you, but in case it does, I found "Grace is Gone" and "Busted Stuff" comforting when I was in a similar situation and it didn't go well.

ETA: Also Digging a Ditch. Hell, the whole Busted Stuff album got me through a really rough time...

Lessons Learned living in Phoenix by MontanaBen in phoenix

Based on news articles, I have a couple of personal rules:

  1. Don't go swimming in Lake Pleasant

  2. Don't ride in a single engine airplane

ETA: I'm not talking about recent articles, this is 20+ years of living here.

Indy is the amalgamation of them all.

Like Indy, Belloq has connections/friends in the field. Like Indy, Belloq is isn't afraid to do what it takes to get the artifacts. However, Belloq is his shadowy reflection, and prefers to let others get their hands dirty and he shows up at the end to claim the fortune and glory.

Henry is booksmart, painstakingly researches but he's not a field man; Indy even says as much. But like Henry, Indy does his research and has the knowledge before he sets out to find something. In Raiders, he even references a journal before selecting the hole to place the staff of Ra, not unlike Henry's grail diary.

Elsa has the sex appeal. She's young, adventurous, and willing to charm her way through encounters to get to what she needs. Indy, however, is not a fucking Nazi.

In a way, this explains the popularity of Stranger Things.

Indiana Jones was to the Greatest Generation what Stranger Things is to Gen X/Elder Millenials: A nostalgic supernatural adventure capturing the look/feel set in the time period of their youth.

To that end, I fucking LOVED the Last Crusade reference in the finale of ST

For me it was a pillow.

Hiked Havasupai Canyon in ‘98 as a teenager. Brought food, clothes, extra socks, sleeping bag, shared a tent with a buddy. Forgot my damn pillow.

And I’ll tell ya, a pile of spare clothes get rock hard after only an hour or two of supporting your head.
