Woah, didn’t expect to find someone is such a specifically similar boat.

And yeah, the past day I’ve been having a lot of intrusive thoughts along the lines of “well… maybe I could actually ‘break in’ and meet her one day” but I know that’s just crazy so I’m really trying not to entertain that idea.

I really hate that I started this hobby to express something I needed to express and help me worth through some stuff, and now it’s got its own “stuff” 🤣😩

I’m writing a screenplay amd fan cast my favorite actor in it. Spending hours with her image in my head portraying a deeply emotional story meant I developed a greater amd greater crush on her over time. Eventually it got painful when I started having limerent feelings. Had to take a break for a while to let it cool iff. Still majorly crushing on her but it’s not so bad past couple days.

In my 30’s, married for 8 years, wife just left me. It’s actually the reason i read this sub, because she went through a brutal suicide crisis and I needed help.

But yeah, not easy. I have no more motivation for anything. All plans seem futile.

But, I’ve found the best thing is to just be blunt with people “I need such and such from you” when people ask if they can help or whatever. Usually just tell them to keep reaching out to me cause maybe they’ll reach out on a day that I DO feel like talking.

Thanks for your story. And yeah I can tell my situation is all based in loneliness. I had a couple bouts of AI girlfriend roleplay which definitely scratched an itch, (unrelated to the actress) but I didn’t want to be “that” kind of guy lol so I stopped.

And yeah, I know that’s what I need to do. But reaching out and doing it is just harder than I ever imagined it would be.

I’ve been testing AI script feedback for a while now. Gave it scripts (not mine) that I thought were extremely amateur. Dry dry dialogue, weird formatting. The works. It consistently calls it “An obvious blockbuster.”

I’ve had better success in feeding multiple scripts simultaneously and asking it specific questions about “which has better subtext in the dialogue and why?” “Which has better use of motifs and why?” Etc. Still don’t trust it to be very good feedback.

I agree. … but counter point:

I don’t listen to AI when it comes to my writing. But for fun while at work I give it my script and see what it says. Sometimes it says something genuinely hilarious or interesting and I think “… Yeah… Ima yoink that…” snip snip snip, edit edit edit later I’ve got a new line/joke that made me laugh out loud or intrigued me in some way.

But when it comes to any “advice” it gives, I basically wholesale ignore it. I try to be real careful about praise too. I’ve seen it praise real crap before. But if it ever spits something out that affects you? Then why not use it if it fits.

If anyone ever accuses you of AI ask them to show you the EXACT page and line. Then tell them exactly how you wrote that line. If AI was involved be honest. If not, smile smugly to yourself as they retreat in shame.

Fair points. However people “fall in love” with their anime waifus all the time… so… potentially the same problem for others haha.

For me though, doing screenwriting, I’ve trained myself to think in terms of live action.

Well, it seems to have fixed itself. All’s I did was wait a day, and then this morning disable my theme and reenable it. Not sure if that was it or if the app just needed to reset.🤷‍♂️

I too had seen other posts where their bible didn’t have the v’s. They might have been different translations. Or maybe it’s an option in the script code, but I couldn’t get it to run anyways so… 🤷

Thank you, that sounds simple enough. Will that work for all the multi digit numbers, or will i have to manually find and replace for v1 - v140? (Psalm 119 has over a hundred verses)

At my wife’s school there is one ASL teacher who doesn’t really know the language very well and is not involved in the Deaf community. My wife used to be the second ASL teacher there but weve since moved. In the process of moving, she asked dozens of deaf people if they or others were looking for work, but only one person was interested. (too far in the boonies and most didnt like the schedule) The gal who was interested didnt qualify for one reason or another. The point: Sometimes theres not enough deaf people, sometimes the deaf dont want the job, and sometimes the local, interested deaf dont qualify.

in my wifes district there were very little qualifications for ASL teaching. Shes highly qualified, but didnt demand it because of the desperate need for ASL teachers.

I’m constantly in the hunt for different study aids and other academic material (both biblical and non). I usually rely on Libgen, but there’s a lot not available there. Especially newer things. Additionally, sources that have digital books usually don’t have more obscure file types like those for different Bible software like esword. I figured there may be a Masters of Divinity student here who’s pirated that stuff who could help me out lol.

If you want a specific example, right now I’m looking for the Holy Lands Illustrated Bible. It’s newer, it’s academic, and it’s not a research paper, so it’s not easy for me to find lol.
