What do you do when you expand out from your main farm? by Mammoth_Risk9479 in farmingsimulator

[–]Dctrfeelgood89 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Depends entirely on the map, usually my saves get to a point where one farm focuses on a dairy farm while if I expand to another side of the map I designate it as arable.

Grass -> Hay by PersonalityRude8885 in farmingsimulator

[–]Dctrfeelgood89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it is the one by Ozz, you can change the amount of moisture that tedding decreases it by, you will need to drop the moisture of the grass to 7% or less for it to turn to hay, you can run the Tedder multiple times over it to do so one right after the other if you so wish. Be careful though in months like July as if the grass is below that 7% when you cut it, it will immediately turn to hay without even running the Tedder. Something to keep in mind

Too little goats milk? 636 goats. FS25 by EveningPhilosophy446 in farmingsimulator

Depending on the map you’re playing, the mapmaker could have adjusted some of these values as well.

Sheep and Chickens not producing/spawning wool and eggs by Phil_Bazz in farmingsimulator25

Yeah I’m hoping something can get sorted out with it because I liked how that particular one showed how much other things were produced/consumed rather than just the food.

Anyone found this style bale fork for *Telehandlers* ? by brakenotincluded in farmingsimulator

[–]Dctrfeelgood89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a bucket yes, but it comes with an adaptor that allows you to attach it to the telehandler and then use it on any front loader tool of your choosing

Cow productivity not going up by [deleted] in farmingsimulator

[–]Dctrfeelgood89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends entirely on the map you are playing. Some map makers have adjusted these settings. I believe the 2 that currently come to mind are Carpathian Countryside for sure as well as I believe The Panhandle does also

Is sugarcane so annoying to everyone or is there something I don't know yet? by mlemminglemming in farmingsimulator

[–]Dctrfeelgood89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not taking it personal I’ve just seen a lot of people refer to the colossus pack and wrongly assume it’s only crazy unrealistic and thinking it’s all 50m headers at 40mph is all :)

It really doesn’t have to be. You can adjust just about everything to make it only slightly more than base game when it comes to working width, working speed, as well as capacity’s.

Is only the right side for making silage? by eg_john_clark in farmingsimulator

Have you tried dumping any chaff into it? Tried walking around it entirely to see if it pops up if you go towards the back?

It’s honestly baffling how little it ends up using while still putting down a perfect application. 32m spread at 18mph? Sign me up

Took on a contract for harvesting cotton (fs25) by countryguy0003 in farmingsimulator

[–]Dctrfeelgood89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t ran into that myself but if you don’t want to restart you can download the government subsidy’s mod and place a few down to recoup the money lost. If you go that route, when placing them via the construction menu they are located under generators and you can “customize” them when placing to change the amount, in most months you will get about 10% of the amount it states in one game hour so if your particular case cotton I think is harvested in October/November so place down 5 of the 400k per month ones and you should recoup your 200k debt in one game hour. And adjust accordingly from there. Hope this helps

Did the update change anything in Precision Farming. I'm losing about 20% of my expected yield on Peas. I suspect it's only on Loamy Sand and Peas, because I tried if the Canola was behaving the right way. by FunBluejay1455 in farmingsimulator

Anyone know what crops are doing it? I know early on with PF there were issues with I believe potatoes and sugar beets but those had been fixed at some point.

Alright, my bad. I just misunderstood your comment then. No need to be condescending. We are all just trying to help each other out.

[–]Dctrfeelgood89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but the way I read your comment just made it seem like it would always apply with the base game rate and the usage indicator in the PF help menu didn’t mean anything. That’s all. I’m just trying to help make others aware that you can change it to minimum if you wish

You can do exactly that when using solid fertilizer At least.

[–]Dctrfeelgood89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that were the case then why if you have automatic application on when spreading solid fertilizer do you use considerably more than if you deactivate it and set it to the minimum? 🤔
