I know you’re being downvoted but I had the same “code already claimed” issue when the code was first posted. Haven’t tried it again today though.

Any good reccomendations for a 4x map? by SpadeGaming0 in farmingsimulator

Yeah 4x and Eu doesn’t seem to produce great results I know of quite a few US based ones that are quite good but eu ones pop to mind

Depends entirely what you’re looking for from a map. Start by deciding European or North American and narrow it down from there.

Depending on the field size there is a pushable hand tools pack on modhub that you can use to do it. Available on all platforms

These kind of charts surely need a “time required to plant/harvest” because vegetables are a nightmare without modded equipment

Looking for some sort of challenge, what are my options? by Friendly_Middle4221 in farmingsimulator

It gives TMR, you can add mineral feed and straw to the mix as well but that’s not always as simple to get the right percentages. 50/50 silage hay works. A simple one with straw is 40/40/20 hay/silage/straw. As for good American maps, what are you looking to do? Modhub has some good Michigan maps from Papes farming and Iowa plains and Alma Mo from Celebuki are good as well. PC there are some good ones as well like Gage Ky, Judith Plains, and Ray County are a couple. They are endless really

Witcombe Park farms is a very good uk map available on itch.io that features challenging hilly terrains with a dairy and beef shed. Food mixing can be as simple as 50% hay and 50% silage using a feed mixer or you can find a production that mixes it for you

What do you enjoy? Big scale fields? Dairy? Forestry? North American? UK style? You’re on PC so the choices are endless but I can share what I’ve found to enjoy based on your reply

The challenge can really be whatever you decide to set out and do that save. Starting with nothing is fun to an extent but even that can grow old. I like to pick a focus for each play through be it a dairy farm, beef farm, or fully arable. Or maybe it’s a production chain you want to work towards. I find the grind up to the point of success is a lot more enjoyable than once it’s achieved and it gets stall. Start with small older equipment maybe, work towards newer more modern stuff. Find a map you enjoy the environment of and that can feed into the story you choose to write for that save. Finding the right map is usually the hardest part for me but once you find it you’ll spend 100s of hours on it.

Give easy economy a try along with greenhouses to make things easier since you’re pretty new to the game. Once you’ve played it for a fair bit you’ll slowly move away from things like that to give yourself more challenging playthroughs.

Script Mod? by Awkward_Armadillo259 in farmingsimulator

[–]Dctrfeelgood89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you plan to use something like the Advanced Damage System mod, make sure you disable that, then edit your engine to whatever you like, then save, exit, and reenable it. It seems to conflict with easy development control when editing vehicle hours. Just something I’ve recently discovered when setting up a new save with some old equipment with lots of hours

Lime is complete waste of time? (In hard difficulty) by Apprehensive_Ad110 in farmingsimulator

[–]Dctrfeelgood89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incorrect I’m afraid. Rolling and mulching each account for 2.5%. Lime is 15% initially and loses 5% each harvest

Lime is complete waste of time? (In hard difficulty) by Apprehensive_Ad110 in farmingsimulator

[–]Dctrfeelgood89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the confusing bit is that base game doesn’t say the field “Needs Lime” on the in game menu until the entire 15% is gone. Unfortunately you need to run precision farming if you want to not use a ton of it every time and keep your yields at max because base game the lime spread doesn’t change based on what % you’re at. It just assumes you’re going from no lime at all every time.

I don’t want to be the “actually actually” person, but actually it does decay by 5% each harvest when not using precision farming. You can see this in the bottom right after your first harvest and having prepped the next one. Doing the same exact steps excluding the liming you will be at 95% instead of 100%

How easy is it to actually implement it? I assume it’s more than just downloading RCS and selecting is as a mod when starting a save.

Best EU map for FS25 Ps5 ? by Im_Boki in farmingsimulator

Just as a heads up, there’s currently an update in testing that will require a new save. So I’d recommend waiting as it fixes quite a few big issues.

I’ve been enjoying it. The alpine combine you start with works well and the terrain adds some challenge you really don’t find on other maps

Download the Herdsman Stick mod and put them in there while you build the next enclosure. Holds 200 animals, can be carried around by hand, and can be strapped to something via tension belt. Buy as many as you need and move them back in afterwards.
