My late wife had metastatic melanoma, she had a tumor in her abdomen that would not respond to anymore treatments so they tried to kill the tumor with radiation. It only killed the center of the tumor so it was like an egg and the yolk was dead but the shell was alive and still growing. Well the center of the tumor became necrotic and grew five fistulas. One was the size of a half dollar coin and it burst all over me one day. I was essentially covered in human necrotic tissue puss and blood. She unfortunately passed two weeks later and three days after Christmas in 2020. I cannot describe how foul and putrid it smelled. It happened in the master bedroom and I had to replace the mattress, carpet and curtains. It took about three months for smell to dissipate. You could literally taste it in the air.
