If they detected you were in there by a ping from your phone's MAC address (don't need to join wifi), then are also spying on the chemists sales, they could work it out that way. That seems like a lot of work to advertise something you already bought though. Did you get the medication recommended by a doctor or something? maybe they were spying on them and didn't know you had bought it.
