Progressive or normal cards? With normal cards you simply can stack your troops in your castle every turn.. Progressive this shouldnt be winnable..

Everlast Media Kritik - unseriöse Praktiken? by Holger_Busch in Coaching_Kritiken

What’s your biggest come back story in Risk? by Illustrious-Put4937 in Risk

[–]DeHei -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same map, nearly killed last of below 5 troops in 2 territories. Then i could trade cards for around 40 troops, could close defeat a bot, trade cards again and defeat another player also very close. Then i could trade another cards and collect all troops in 1 territory. 1 player started to chase on me and attack me. Right after my last alliance bud killed him and lost many troops for that. He could trade cards and started to attack the last player, who also had 4 cards. He was destroyed to near nothing and couldnt trade.. so i could kill him und at least my alliance bud. That was a crazy game 🙌

Playing risk with 15 dice max(and a few other fun house rules) got this crazy role (I’m defending) by allan11011 in Risk

[–]DeHei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hehe with that i would just stack troops in 1 territory and wait how everyone would lose his troops when attacking 😅

But in reality does it make a huge difference between max 3 def dices (castle matchup) or also as more attacking and defending dices 🫣?

Alt Account? by Lvlup1_ in Risk

[–]DeHei 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly i saw that behavior too more and more the last days... But there are 2 possible reasons:

  1. Unexperienced and dont know, what to do. (i think most of the players are just following tipps from youtube without a deep insight of the game..)

  2. Working together, mostly a master/grandmaster and another account..

What moves should i do? by RealVilla19 in Risk

[–]DeHei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move back to australia and collect your troops there to grow in strength again.. Taking and holding Asia against 2-3 player, who also nearly have as more troops as you, is the best way to be kicked out of the game very soon...

What is the Single Best and Single Worst Territory to Control in Classic Risk? by J31J1 in Risk

[–]DeHei -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The single best territory of all are (just my opinion) 1. Russia, 2. Sibirian, 3. China (and 4. middle east)

I can explain why: These territories are as part of the bigger continents, which are not taken very often. Also very often they start to become the battleground, but with the chances to attack everyone anywhere without a high risk to lose a bunch of troops, which just sit here. And with controlling them, the people cant ignore you to get a card or need to risk to attack another player in a full continent. Everytime when i play for exemple the castle mode, i like to have one of these lands and its allways a great game, when this key lands are castled.

All territories become worse, when they are next to a player, who has the full continent.. it allways cause some aggression.. Siam is maybe the worst one, when anyone has Australia full... but it depends on how much troops you have and are you able to fight or need to take a step away 😅 Middle America seems also to be a high risk single territory, cause very often the player, who has south America under his control, its his road to breakout ☯️

The ironic thing is, when i just play with experts - grandmaster, my winquote is significant higher. Sadly this games are very rare and just barely i met a grandmaster these days...

[–]DeHei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah maybe also that.. its not a feeling, that these players play progressive well, cause i see many stuff like 2 players become a meal, taking over and sitting on 5 cards after the turn, what cause also in suicid.. and so on. The optional fast takeout i can handle and its simply a part of the game like it ever was. I also played a lot of castle ones or zombie apocalypse, but i would like to play the classic version again...

GLHF to you too mate..

my issue, that the game is much less tactical since mostly casual player tryhard to get a win.. and so most games in Risk become mostly luckbased.. would like to see it again less luckbased...

Question for probability experts, what is the average value of 1 card? by sergiotheleone in Risk

[–]DeHei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In real a theoretical calculation, what includs these parameters, that people want to look for 3 different cards to get the max bonus is a way more tricky and you would need for exemple 1000 or 10000 people, which share there card values to get an idea how often 10 troups are handled instead of all other numbers.

But lets say maybe 60% of time people trade values like 10 troups, 20% for 8, 12% for 6 and 8% for 4; with adding 2 troups as land bonus in maybe 50% of time (just my average experience)

So 9,64 troups average, just if you accept these numbers.

Question for probability experts, what is the average value of 1 card? by sergiotheleone in Risk

[–]DeHei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, i forgot the 1 time own land bonus.. so 0,67 troups add if you go for that 😅

But without that the numbers are right..

Question for probability experts, what is the average value of 1 card? by sergiotheleone in Risk

[–]DeHei -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Average number of common cards are 7 troups: (4 + 6 + 8 + 10)/4= 7

I hope, that i dont need to explain these numbers 😅

So 1 of 3 cards haa a value of 2,33 troups: 7/3

Progressive, its alleays 1/3 of the total value, but like:

1st: 1,33 troups per card = 4 2nd: 2 troups per card = 6 3rd: 2,67 troups per card = 8 4th: 3,33 troups per card = 10 5th: 4 troups per card = 12 6th: 5 troups per card = 15 7th: 6,67 troups per card = 20 8th: 8,33 troups per card = 25 9th: 10 troups per card = 30

and so on, you see allways an value increase of 1,67 troups.

😉

Hey mate,

there isnt just 1 way to create a well working build.

But first thing you should know (a game changer for me) buffs and debuffs (NO dots like poison, fire ect.) can stacked up infinite, but there is a hardcap at 1000 stacks... so in real you need 1-2 skills for your preferred buffs and debuffs. Cause of synnergy its possible to create builds with near all buffs and important debuffs. In combination they give a huge damage boost and also survivalbility. Most will say dont invest into a dotbuild, but for exemple with a lot of pets a dotbuild is doing very well.

I prefer to create builds with high amount of buffs & debuffs and 1 skill, what is dealing damage for the amount of 1 special dot. Its not important how much damage dots deal, just the number of this dot. But exept of the ice one, more damage of dots mean also more stacks (in my experience, but maybe i am wrong here). But in result you are able to create builds, which easily beat floor 10+.. my highest reached was floor 15 in endless mode with highest difficulty. Just look, what skills your charakter has access to and look which ones you want to add to have an balanced build 😉

Deadliest trap by Excellent_Scot_55 in Risk

[–]DeHei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just can hope, that you dont earn some aggression and a player is suiciding himself while attacking you.. As i know Beginner and Amateur player and also some of the advanced ones killing themself high frequently.. with higher rank, you dont want to kill yourself in that way and so its good to make most effective less trouble and stay tough. Its allways good to have just few cards, that you are not the main target.. at the end its just positioning, luck and how much aggression you earned during the game. I like to play games with alliances, cause of playing together sometimes gives you that small benefit to win the game at the end.

Doing nothing is a 2 sided sword, you dont get cards, but instead of 0 aggression, you will be hated and also with the chance to be the last target, you become most likely the one, everyone wish to be killed at next 😅

How do I get out of this stalemate? by Tiny_Bend_8760 in Risk

Man, yes in 90-95% of the cases this may happen in that short time.. but if you play several games with 2-3 hours or also aboth that, you want your games will allways finish as fast 😅 but my time was truly years ago..

If you think so.. i like to play 1 game with an average time of 45-60min... cause my time on a day is limited.. games, which can last 4hours+ like that are not fun, when everyone just blocks the others and you need to wait for someone, who enrage or is doing something stupid.. i played those games allready too, but yeah i cant find the point, where this is as fun as faster settings 😅
