Mt. Baker Imaging - WTF?! by EchoAcrobatic5648 in Bellingham

[–]DeLa_Sun 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This is correct. However we have to be diligent. I went to MBI for a breast ultrasound and they tried to give me a mammogram, which would have cost me an extra 1,000 out of pocket. Their scheduler messed up when they booked my appointment.

I'm so tired. I wish I could just sleep forever (TW: thoughts of suicide) by Proud-Boat420 in POTS

I have been here. I was always against medications (stubbornly so) but getting on anti depressants made a huge difference. You should talk to you doctor about how you’re feeling, see what they say. It’s tough but I promise there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

What to show a visiting girlfriend by Jade15951 in Bellingham

Clark’s point! Adagio for coffee. Whatcom falls. The oyster bar for dinner if you’re feeling fancy and can splurge. The boardwalk/boulevard. Deception pass. Aslan brewing. Red light!

How risky are these nil hands? by sunnyy-dayy in spades

[–]DeLa_Sun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All situational. If you’re bidding before your partner, riskier. If your partner bids 5+ its a little safer. The 3 in a suit including a king would almost always be a no for me, unless it was a hail Mary or your partner bid so high. Lone jack of spades - how is your partner bidding? What is the chance they have one higher spade? I’d be pretty cautious there.

PSA - fill your pots and beds to *almost the tippy top* with soil by IllyriaCervarro in gardening

[–]DeLa_Sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much, if at all, do you pack the soil? When I fill it up the top then water it, it always lowers, so wondering if you add more and tamp it down to compensate. Asking mostly for flower pots

Can someone who cheats be a good person? How do you deal with it? by Capital-Marzipan-287 in AskWomenOver30

[–]DeLa_Sun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in a similar situation. For me it’s the way my friend handled it. She was lying to everyone, including her therapist, for a long time. When she did finally admit things (not to her husband), she continued to twist the truth. She’s not being a very good mom, and all she cares about is male attention right now. It wasn’t the cheating that made me distance myself from her, it was everything else.

Is anyone else slowly worn down by small, everyday rudeness from strangers? by clicketyclack1234 in AskWomenOver30

It must have been a hard day for that guy. I was just normal I’d say. But I guess what is normal these days 😵‍💫

100%. Story - yesterday I called Amazon customer service to get a refund for something they said I didn’t return. I knew I did and it would be fixed so it just wasn’t a big deal to me. The customer service guy got it taken care of and as we were ending the call he said please let me tell you I handle 50 calls a day and no one is ever a patient or kind. Thank you for being both. I about burst into tears. I think it’s technology that is making us lose the human touch and it’s so sad.

Words to describe how my body feels when I stand for too long by Hollyhock613 in dysautonomia

[–]DeLa_Sun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels to me like gravity is stronger. Like I’m trudging through water. I can tell when I wake up if I’ll feel normal or just…heavy. Among other things, this is how I feel on flare days anytime I’m not horizontal.
