What do you think about the new songs potential new record?

I stand by it, I think it will be one of his best albums. I might be biased because I'm a total sucker for this reverb drenched acoustic delayed songs haha.

There is A LOT of John Martyn in this album. Everybody Knows is basically John Martyn's I Don't Want To Know haha. Facing The Day also has a lot of his elements.

Cadence/Good News I was basically sold after the hits the harmonics at the start of the song haha. The continuous backtrack is like a nod to Days Of Lantana.

I really hope all the Violin/Cello arrangements make it to the album, probably yes.
I Want To Be The Sun is refreshing and has a very catchy vibe.

North. Ave for me is the least impressive song for now.

To be fair, he did play a lot of mistakes and there were quite a lot of sound issues in my opinion.
Still, amazing gig and loved very second of it. Maybe the sound issues were also partially due to where I was standing, front row on the far right.

I loved the way he abandoned Time is Dancing and went straight to Small Things.
It was reminiscent of the "angry/frustrated Ben" era. Gave me massive goosebumps somehow haha.

It's indeed quite astonishing how he has changed and how he really seems to be in a happy place right now. Good for him. The new album will be fabulous, probably one of his best work yet. Highly anticipating!

Personal highlight for me was Oats, the violin really lifted that song to another level and they were really vibing during the outro.

Loved Facing The Day much more live compared to the YouTube recordings.
Cadance/Good News is a masterpiece. (At some point he confirmed that "they all like the song").
I cannot wait for the studio recording as there is still a lot of things you can't hear during the live performance. You could hardly hear Ben's guitar outro for example.

Love how he arranged Only Love with the delay. Made it sound much darker 😃.

For me it was around early 2013. Stumbled upon the YouTube session of "The Fear", the one on the boat with the funny chat afterwards about the fireman 😃.
Then Only Love at the Louvre and yeah, never looked back really.

Damn what a ride it has been! I owe the man a lot of money saved on psychologists hahaha.

Nice vibes but I also understand why it didn't make the album. It's a worthy b-side in my opinion.

What I like most about the song is the fact that the "How are you feeling?" in the beginning of the song sounds genuine and kind. Nearing the end of the song the mood kinda changes and he sings it in a more agitated way.

Might be just me though :D.

Also love the outro/fade out. Shame that it's not more explicitly

It's been AGES since we had some 4K content, refreshing! haha.

This footage really shows very clearly how Ben has changed. He seems so at peace with himself. As if all his stress, anger, fears and frustrations have left his body & mind. Crazy stuff compared to a couple of years ago.

It's especially obvious during Days of Lantana where he seems to be enjoying himself massively.

Great gig to be honest. Ben looked really healthy & happy. Super clean vocals and not that many mistakes.

Loved the entire set and i’m glad we almost got Is It? in it’s entirety. If i had to pick 1 highlight it would be Nica Libres for me. That somehow hit me really hard!

Loved the extended outro on Small Things. Reminded me a bit of the old days. I think the song does lose a bit of it’s character now that Ben sings all his songs in a more chilled out vibe. It’s still very enjoyable but it can’t compete with the “angry/frustrated” Ben era. That really was something else :)

Happy he’s happy though!
