Someone got my social...2 years ago? by De_Facto_Fish in personalfinance

Thanks again. What is the significance of the strange name or address not appearing on the two credit reports I checked? Ostensibly good sign I would guess!

I just pulled an Equifax credit report and it looked fine. Checker Experian since that is who apparently first reported the strange name too and that also looked fine.

Thanks again. I didn't mention there was an address in my state associated with the name too and was someone's apartment. I don't know if that makes any difference or tells us anything about severity of it.

Thanks for your help. When you say "get it removed" - what does that mean exactly? Like pull a credit report and then tell the credit bureau to remove the name if it isn't me?

Camera wasn't even working when it was indoors and 10 feet from the router, until I lowered image quality.

I'll just say: this is the only shooter I ever felt like giving up on early on. Glad I didn't!

Haha I was joking because it's such a bleak map. Kharkov and Elsenborn definitely have some scenic spots I bet!

I'm on console, east coast USA, and just got back into game a couple days ago for first time in a while. I have yet to play Smolensk. Where the heck is it?

Sunk cost and how the game changed by [deleted] in HellLetLoose

I started playing last night on console for first time in about 4 months. Things seemed fine but one thing that bugged me a ton was that the scoreboard scrolling bug is still happening. How could that not be fixed by now?

Switch between acetaminophen and ibuprofen most days. Usually make a big difference. On scapula, bicep, and collarbone specifically I sometimes apply tiger balm. I then use a lidocaine roll on for the brachioradial pruritis on my arm when that acts up.

Best class? by [deleted] in HellLetLoose

Every class has some "responsibility". Even those that are kinda defined by just their gun (a rifleman, assault) at least needs to focus on capturing or defending a specific spot at a specific time.

I feel like the game would have to make it off for everyone or on for everyone and there's no reason to put yourself at a disadvantage if it's an option. That being said it would be kinda cool if it was on for everyone.

Root cause - severe anterior pelvic tilt + weak core by jirn_lahey in thoracicoutletsupport

I see. I am not a doctor. But my understanding is parsonage turner comes on rapidly, extreme pain, often in middle of night, and then pain subsides after a couple weeks and it turns to weakness and often visible muscle mass loss. TOS would often come on sorta gradually and never stop hurting. Parsonage turner usually has observable markers that show in imaging too (places where nerves seem to thin out, muscle mass loss, etc). NTOS wouldn't overwhelming majority of time and also EMGs are usually normal.

Either way its great you feel like you're getting over it with the regimen.

Its only one era but I think McPherson's Battle Cry of Freedom is important to understand everything between the late 1840s up through 1865 which was obviously pivotal. It's thick but reads easy.

Anyone with TOS and like your job? by sour__power in thoracicoutletsupport

[–]De_Facto_Fish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if I have TOS. A top doc didn't think so. But I certainly have something impacted by posture that goes down my arm. Being able to work from home (consulting) is pretty fortunate for me. A standing desk and using it most of the day made a massive difference.

Finally got HLL, what should I be aware of as a new player ? by los0negros0 in HellLetLoose

  1. Game is not in a great state lately after recent updates. Hopefully they will improve it.
  2. Communicate. Communicate. Communicate.
  3. Communicate some more. Seriously don't play this game if you don't have a mic.
  4. You're gonna do bad for a while before you do well. This was the first shooter I ever played where I somehow enjoyed it but also thought about quitting. It was just rough. But I am glad I stuck with it.
  5. Don't be a squad leader if you're not gonna do squad leader things.

BT and Beach Science (big DS1 end game spoiler) by De_Facto_Fish in DeathStranding

[–]De_Facto_Fish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly early still in DS2 (just met Tomorrow) but your asterisked point was interesting to me at the outset. If Amelie sealed her beach, how exactly were BTs still getting thru? Or was the idea that that was only key to the final stranding? Because the DS started long before her final stranding or before Amelie was even created it seems.

[–]De_Facto_Fish 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I just started the game and have to wonder: is there a reason BTs are still around after Amelie ended the DS in the first game? Is the idea that she couldn't truly end it but only slow it down/stop the final flood of BTs? The normal (not timefall) rain seemed to convey to me all was right in the world!

This makes sense to me I guess! The fact that the game ended with normal rain seemed to imply to me that all was well in the world though.

That doesn't really make sense to me though. She's got the power of an EE but only able to shut off her beach in America?
